We had an excellent food and culture tour of Valletta with Omar who has an extensive knowledge of the city and its history. He did a great job discussing the variety of cultural influences that have shaped both Valletta and Malta overall. The information he shared was fascinating. Omar also did an excellent job of integrating a focus on food and how food is tied to culture. And very impressively, we had an abundance of different food tastings. We have done many different food tastings in cities around the world and thus, it really stood out to us how much food was made available on this tour. It was a great value for the money we paid. We so much enjoyed the information we learned and the various food and beverages we tasted, but we also thoroughly enjoyed Omar and his company. This was an excellent tour and we highly recommend Omar and this particular tour.

Valetta is a FOODIE’S PARADISE! Our friends who visited Malta last year connected us with Christian of Best Tours Malta Ltd,who gave them an awesome food tour last year. Our guide was Karl, who was an awesome human being, passionate about Malta’s history and everything it has to offer. He picked us up from the hotel and the tour had a great pace throughout. It was a perfect way to learn about the city by tasting the local food while burning the calories. We started off with Pastizzi, Imqaret, fried rabbit, bragioli, Maltese coffee, and Maltese chocolates, Maltese platter with a yummy maltese sausage, Kinnie etc. etc. It was definitely good value for money. We also had great conversations over food and we felt very at home. We’ll definitely do this again next time we bring family! We LOVE MALTA & this is a tour you don’t want to miss!
A very informative and interesting tour whilst sampling lovely local foods. Our guide, Josianne was very knowledgeable and personable. A great tour.
We had a wonderful tour today with Romania. She shared many of the historic sites as we walked past and many delicious food stops. We have been on many food tours in Europe, and we believe this was the best one for quality and quantity. It may have been too much food. So delicious!
Gianni was the best. His knowledge about his home country was remarkable. He was proud to share in the rich cultural heritage of the various influences other countries brought to the culinary industry in Malta. From the sweet and savory pastizzi to the traditional rabbit and assortment of caponata, the food was delicious. We are grateful for the experience and for the company.
The quality of the main meal was poor especially for the price paid for this tour. Also, having chocolates and sweet liquor before the main meal is not customary most anywhere. This should have occurred after the main meal. This tour is overpriced for the value received.
Dear Ned Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We strive to create tours that celebrate the unique culinary traditions and flavors of our region, and your comments about the meal quality and order of tastings are invaluable to us. While we aim to introduce our guests to local customs and flavors in a way that is memorable and enjoyable, we understand that expectations around meal flow can vary, and we’ll take your input into account when planning future experiences. Regarding the price, we include not only the food and drink but also the guidance and insights from our local experts, who are passionate about sharing the culture and history behind the dishes. The price also includes the high percentages taken by the third party you have booked from. That said, we will review the pricing and value to ensure it aligns with the experience we wish to offer. Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us grow and improve. If there’s anything further you’d like to share, please feel free to contact us directly. We’d love the chance to welcome you back for a more positive experience in the future. Best regards, Christian Galea Best Tours Malta
Romina was a wonderful guide. Learned so much about Malta and we visited restaurants that the locals go to. Highly recommend.
Chris, our guide, gave us a full story of Valletta and Malta history while showing us this beautiful city. Our food samples ranged from local beverages and yummy pastries/sweets, to a full meal of the local/national rabbit stew. Most importantly he was considerate of my husband's limited mobility and adjusted our tasting to a smaller circle, but still included all of the special tastes and incredible beautiful sites of this city.
We enjoyed a private family food tour of Valletta in the evening with Lorraine. The food was delicious, even my children tried and enjoyed every dish. Lorraine was very knowledgeable about the history of Valletta and Malta. We highly recommend this experience!
