The middle finger sculpture in Piazza Affari, right in the heart of Milan's financial district, is an artwork by middle finger artist Maurizio Cattelan. It’s a provocative piece, meant to challenge the power structures and offer a critical commentary on the financial and political systems that dominate the area. While some might interpret it as an expression of disdain or defiance, others could see it as a form of rebellious love—pointing out the flaws and contradictions of the system, perhaps in an effort to spark conversation and reflection. It's definitely not just hate; it's art that challenges, questions, and opens the door to interpretation. Cattelan is known for this kind of boundary-pushing work!
