Private Machu Picchu day trip from Cusco

Samuel, our tour guide, was very informative and willing to answer to every question we had.Our overall experience at Machu Piccu was amazing.You can’t come to Peru and miss this experience.

Short review - The whole experience with TreXperience was as smooth and hassel free as I could have imagined. It was a very pleasant experience all done very professionally by the team. Detailed review - We reached out to them two months ahead of our travel and they secured the best available Machu Picchu circuit ticket then. They secured all the other tickets for us as well: the train tickets between Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu railway station, and the bus tickets between Machu Picchu railway station and Machu Picchu itself. They of course organised the transfer between the hotel and Ollantaytambo railway station. The tickets were sent via mail and WhatsApp the day before the journey. The printed tickets were also handed to us at the start of the journey. There was a person at each checkpoint guiding you to the right location while getting to Machu Picchu. No time was wasted from our side trying to figure out how to get there. Communication was done on the go over WhatsApp during the journey. Our guide, Samuel, was awesome. The meeting point and time was clearly communicated. He queued for us so that we didn’t have to stand for a long time to enter the site. Fluent in English, Sam gave us great insight into the history of the place and answered all our questions. He knew all the right places to take the photos from and helped us a lot with taking photos as well. Machu Picchu was amazing! Well worth the title of a wonder of the world. The return journey was not supervised but it was easy as we had already been given the drill on the way to Machu Picchu in the morning.

Samu was a great guide. He was prompt, provided helpful information about Machu Picchu and was patient with my 6 year old daughter. He sent us nice pictures and knew exactly where to go for beautiful shots of Machu Picchu. Weather was great, and for Circuit 2 we spent about 2h inside. He also helped us navigate the bus and other logistics. Thanks Samu!

Experience wonderful. Once in a lifetime. Admission fee high, butI guess there is reason for it. Length of visit perfect.

We had a great time with Samuel. He met us at our hotel to guide us to the bus terminal and through the entrance process. Samuel is very knowledgeable and was able to share history of Machu Picchu and answer my questions with ease. He is a good photographer and took great photos for our family. My friends and I had a fantastic experience visiting Machu Picchu with Trexperience! Everything was really well organised, from the bus and train to the communication beforehand, which made the whole trip so easy and enjoyable. We were also lucky to have amazing weather and incredible views. The highlight was definitely our guide, Samuel. He was so friendly, patient and knowledgeable, and his passion for Machu Picchu and Inca history really came across. He answered all of our questions and made the experience even more memorable. We loved having Samu as our guide to Machu Picchu. We are a family of five of varying ages, and we all thought he was great. He was professional, punctual and well-organised and got the right balance of providing insightful information and answering questions and giving us space and time to wander ourselves. Samu’s English was superb, and put our non-existent Spanish to shame. He understood exactly how much detail to provide, and was clearly knowledgeable - he has taken groups on 3000 visits to Machu Picchu, and evidently knows what he’s talking about! Samu has travelled extensively and his approach was very accessible to a ‘western’ audience, including his sense of humour. He was friendly, polite and respectful, and we very much enjoyed his company. The 5.15am start was just right so we could visit Machu Picchu in peace, and the sun rose and skies cleared about half an hour into the visit - great weather! I would absolutely recommend Samu as a guide - you won’t go wrong.
