Wonderful day!

Nancy was an incredible guide around the area, willing to show us what we were interested in seeing. Her hospitality and kindness were much appreciated.

Just the best day tour. Thank you Andreas. Perfect.

What a perfect day with Andreas. I could not imagine it being any better. After a lot of research it became clear that for a full day out from Katakolon cruise port, Andreas was the man. From day 1 of contact, communications were perfect. He picked us up from the ship in his Mercedes and the adventure began. I had given him an itinerary of the the things we would like to do if we had time and left it to him. We had total flexibility all day though. Starting at Olympia and its museum Andreas drove us up the long 'no vehicles' path past everybody walking from the coach parks to drop us right at the entrance. Saving time, a long walk, and a lot of sweat. He knows everybody, so gets away with it. We then went into Olympia town itself, then onto a beautiful winery for a tasting. Andreas took us when no one else was there so we had the tour and tasting, led by the daughter, all to ourselves. This was a wonderful experience with the accompanying tapas being the icing on the cake. Apart from the different wines we were offered, they finished off with a shot of a (strong) spirit which is made from the grape skins. So no waste. They make a small amount of high quality olive oil there which was drizzled on to our accompanying homemade sourdough bread with a sprinkle of sea salt. Absolutely delicious, that oil was so good. We did bring some home and it is as good here as we found it over there. On the way back we called in at Agios Andreas beach. You can look from an outside hotel bar for miles at the stunning views of the Med and unspoilt coastline. Then back to Katakolon where he dropped us off so we could wander around for a bit before returning to the ship. He is a very knowledgeable, safe driver with a very comfortable car. 100% recommended. A perfect day, thank you Andreas.

We had a wonderful time...

We had a wonderful time exploring Olympia. Our driver and guide told us a lot about the area and even had a helpful book to explore the ruins. He also helped make reservations at a winery and olive oil factory so we could avoid the crowds and really enjoy ourselves.

Fun girls day with Nancy!

Atanasia, or “Nancy” to us, was exactly what we needed at our port or Katakolon. She coincidentally matched our outfits with shades of brown and olive upon meeting her at the port, perfect foreshadowing for our fun girls day! We were a group of 4 young ladies who weren’t really interested in seeing the archeological sites after many days of them prior on our cruise ship lol. Nancy catered to what we wanted to do, creating the perfect itinerary with a visit to a local honey farm owned by a sweet lady named Klio, an olive oil mil, and winery. All of the stops were so dreamy and the people were so kind! Nancy gave us many laughs, good motherly advice, and cool facts about the Peloponnese region. We had the most perfect day thanks to Nancy!

Ancient Olympia, wine tasting and beach

It was wonderful to get a local person’s knowledge of area! Nancy was outstanding! She tailored the experience to our interests. We were able to go to a less touristy winery which we LOVED! Nancy also offered to show us an olive oil factory/tasting (super cool!) Ancient Olympia grounds are worth the visit!

Nice day in Katakolon

We had a nice time with our driver Nancy. She picked us up promptly at the port in a comfy car and dropped us off at the Olympia site and was great with communication. We weren't sure what we wanted to do, so she suggested a very quaint family run vineyard where we had nice wine accompanied with some delicious food. I would recommend this tour company.

Perfect day!

We were picked up in a very nice Mercedes. Our guide was Maria and our driver was Demetria (who doubled as a second guide!!) They took us to Olympia first knowing that we would beat the crowds. And we did!! We essentially toured it by ourselves and as we left it was soo packed full of people. Then we had a tasting at winery and then an olive oil factory. Our guide and driver had great connections which allowed us to do all of this in a short but meaningful time and they shared their stories and knowledge. It was incredible. Highly recommend for anyone

Wonderful tour from a wonderful local guide!

Andreas was an amazing guide! He met us at the port with a large and clean passenger vehicle and took us to the ancient Olympic archaeological site. After visiting the site and the museum (both part of the same admission price - 20 euro), Andreas drove us to the center of the Olympic village for a late lunch. The area was picturesque with flowers in bloom everywhere. He made a great recommendation for our lunch! After, we visited an olive oil mill and samples delicious olive oils. It was a lovely day and was perfectly paced. Andreas gave us several options and recommendations and allowed us to choose our itinerary and pace. I would highly recommend Andreas to anyone visiting this area. I look forward to coming back and seeing him again!
