The sanctuary of Olympia extends over a bewitching landscape lying at the feet of the Kronius Hill. This made it an ideal location for the Olympic Games which were held every four years to honour Zeus. Once you are there, you will visit the temple of Zeus which housed one of the seven wonders of the world and the temple of Hera where the Olympic torch is lit. Exploration in Olympia site will be on your own (Licensed guide within Olympia site is not included in the tour price and is available upon request with additional fee - In case it is needed please contact us prior the booking)
The Archaeological Museum displays world known works of ancient art and exhibits from the Classical Period, the famous pediments from the temple of Zeus, Nike of Paionios and Hermes of Praxiteles.
Just a breath away from the museum and the ruins in Olympia, you can meet Klio and her mother on her farm. Klio will welcome you with a platter of seasonal fruits, fresh juice and coffee, into a garden filled with fruit trees and vegetables. Through the presentation of beekeeping tools, you will be introduced to the life of bees from ancient times until today. Top off your visit with “diples”, a traditional sweet with honey,
Agriturismo Magna Grecia has been created in 2009 by Dimitri Karabelas and Franca Magrini. Visitors of Ancient Olympia have now the opportunity to experience the authentic flavors of the Greek land tasting the extra-virgin olive oil, olives and wines that the family produces. Their goal is to make sure the guests of Magna Grecia experience unique moments while visiting their pharm.
Saint Andrew beach is very close to the Katakolon port, it’s located behind the hill of Katakolon and it’s only 4 km away. The beach with thick sand and rocks during the summer is full of life. It’s got a magnificent view of the sea. There is also a cafe and a traditional restaurant where someone can enjoy coffee or meal.

Fantastic experience. Joanna was our tour leader, and she accommodated our every request across all of the different events, even getting us a personal guide at the last moment for Olympia. We had less time than we expected, so we didn't get to do all of the events, but Joanna worked with us to ensure we did all the things we wanted and spent the time we had on what we preferred. Fantastic experience all around.

We spent a great day with Dora learning about the Katakolon area. Everything was easy about the pickup and activities. We really enjoyed the honey farm and Olympic ruins. This was a fabulous tour....I am so glad that we chose to do this tour as a family. Our fantastic driver was Dora. She was absolutely amazing. I loved her energy, her passion for her job, her knowledge about Olympia, her instructions were precise and she made our entire experience so memorable. I would highly recommend Dora for sure. The tour was so interesting and it covered everything that was planned. We also loved the whole itinerary. The vehicle that was used on the tour was clean and very spacious. As a family we couldn't have asked for a better tour to enjoy Olympia. I would definitely recommend this tour for sure!!!

We were a party of 9 and absolutely LOVED our tour with Dora! She's personable, funny and did an amazing job showing us the best of Olympia! Dora was awesome! She picked us up right at the cruise ship in a very comfortable Sprinter van for our group of nine. We loved every stop: Olympia, the Bee Farm, Magna Grecia and a beautiful beach. We felt like we got a taste of Greece from a local perspective and we loved it! Olympia is a must see! The countryside was beautiful and the bee tour was so fun. The family who owns it was so nice! Magna Grecia gave us a real appreciation for olives and olive oil. We highly recommend this tour!

We had an excellent day with our guide, Joanna. She provided us with a custom, fun day. The ruins at Olympia were stunning. Probably one of my favorite spots of ancient ruins. The stop at the honey farm was pure original Greece. It was delightful! We finished at the most STUNNING beach. We had chairs and umbrellas waiting. Ordered very reasonably priced food and drinks and they were delivered to our chairs. It was fantastic! Note: we skipped the winery for more beach time because we have kids who were ready for some swim time. All in all, a great day. 100% would recommend.

Our experience with Joanne, our guide, and our professional driver was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment we were picked up in a spotless, new Mercedes mini-bus—right on time—we felt well cared for and completely at ease. Our group included myself, my wife, our daughter who uses a wheelchair, my parents in their 80s, my mother-in-law in her late 70s, and our two other daughters. Joanne navigated our group’s diverse needs with remarkable kindness, flexibility, and professionalism. She was especially sensitive to the heat, responding immediately when we needed to cut parts of the day short for our special needs daughter and my parents. When I called to request an early pickup due to the rising temperature, she was already coordinating with the driver and made everything smooth and easy. The highlight of our day—and truly one of the most memorable experiences of our entire cruise—was our visit to a local honey farm. Joanne arranged the visit beautifully and made sure we had all the time we needed. She was ready and willing to extend our stay if we wished, showing both patience and warmth. Although we opted not to visit the beach or winery in order to return to the ship for an event, Joanne was completely prepared to accommodate any adjustments we needed. Her fluent English, calm demeanor, and thoughtful attention to every detail made the day a delight.
