After an approx. 30 min of enjoyable ride you will reach Ancient Olympia. We will drop you off just outside of the world-wide famous Archaeological Site of Ancient Olympia. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, one of the most important museums in Greece, presents the long history of the most celebrated sanctuary of antiquity, the sanctuary of Zeus, father of both gods and men, where the Olympic games were born. The museum's permanent exhibition contains finds from the excavations in the sacred precinct of the Altis dating from prehistoric times to the Early Christian period.
Enjoy almost 1 hrs of free time in modern town of Olympia. Visit market streets called also "agora" where you can find various souvenir shops with leathers and ceramis, fashion clothes shops as well as jewlery shops. Afterwards, enjoy Greek hospitality in local tavern or cafee.
On the way back to Katakolo, you will head for your last refreshing stop to Agios Andreas Beach. We will arrive at Agios Andreas after approx. 30 min of drive. Agios Andreas is a beautiful rocky beach, a place of outstanding natural beauty as it was the ancient harbour of Ileia. You will be given approx. 1hr of free time to spend at the beach where you can have coffee, lunch, take photos or have a swim.
After approx. 5 hrs is time to return back to Katakolon port. Make yourself comfortable at the seats of our luxurious vehicles and get back to your cruise ship full of unforgettable memories

Perfect day at port in Katakolon! Pick up at the port was smooth, ride to Olympia was easy & Andreas was amazing!! He set us up for lunch recommendations, answered all our questions & was flexible with our itinerary throughout the day. We got to see the sites of Olympia & then head to the beach. Wish we had longer to stay!! Definitely recommend!
An unforgettable day in Olympia, Greece! Our group of seven had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Visiting the olive oil plant was a highlight—it was amazing to learn about the process, and we all purchased some delicious olive oil to bring home. We also explored the ancient Olympic ruins, which were incredible to see in person. Walking through a place with so much history made the day even more special. Our driver was fantastic and helped make the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. This was a wonderful way to explore Olympia together, and we would highly recommend it. Awesome experience! Christof was very on-time, nice, informative and made great recommendations (shopping and dining). It was the perfect amount of time spent in Olympia, shopping and lunch at “Ariston yeuseis” which means “excellence taste” in Greek! We wanted to spend more time in Olympia vs beach and they were very accommodating… The beach is located 10 mins from cruise port so 30 mins of exploring and picture taking was perfect for us. I highly recommend using this tour operator and ask for Christof. When we come back, we will use them again!
Our driver Christos did a good job getting us back and forth safe and sound to Olympia. Also the tavern he recommended for lunch was excellent and good value. We also appreciated the flexibility with the pick up time due to changes in the ship arrival and tender time. Overall a good experience.
This trip was a lot of fun. Totally flexible to what our group wanted to do. We stayed at the Olympic ruins and the museum for over 2 hours. Then we asked to be taken to a local restaurant it was fantastic. Our driver Paraskevas was so nice and even took us to a local beach. Great day!!!
This half day private tour was perfect for my daughter and I on our port stop in Katakolo. We were looking for something that offered flexibility in our day but hit the highlights of the area. We were able to taylor the time spent in ancient Olympia and change our beach destination (highly recommend Kourouta beach) ahead of time to make a perfect day. Sakis was our driver and he was very professional and helpful getting us into the archaeological sight and directing us to the perfect beach spot. He answered our questions throughout the day and didn't rush us at any of our experiences.
Great tour and great service! They picked us up right at the cruise port and drove us to the ruins. I was so pleasantly surprised by nice the ruins and museum were. After we went to the sites, our guide recommended a restaurant for lunch that was delicious and exactly what we were hoping to eat in Greece. Lastly, the beach we went to for swimming was gorgeous! Stunning fish swimming all over and beautiful scenery. We loved it all! Overall, an excellent day.
