First off, it’s not a tour. It’s a car ride. But that’s cool. That’s all you need and want. They picked us up at Pompeii and drove us up Vesuvius to the spot where you enter and hike. The car waits below and when you return from the hike it takes you back to Pompeii. Perfect. Beat the he— out of a bus or taxi. I recommend it.
thank you so much
I took this tour to get to/from Mt Vesuvius from a cruise ship so that I could walk to the rim of Mt Vesuvius. The car and driver were very nice; the ride to/from Mt Vesuvius was efficient and scenic; I was driven very close to the entrance to the trail; however, the entrance to the trail requires a ticket and the ticket office is approx 1/4 mile below the trail entrance, so the good was the extra steps, the bad was the driver didn't stop at the ticket office on the way to the trail.
