The tour ended in an hour and 10 min. Didn't have the chance for a close view of the rocks or get to the other side and Swanage. What ashame there weren't any prior announcements that we would not make so.
Excellent boat trip, very interesting commentary where we learned a lot. supurb
Starts from the Quay, Poole Harbour, goes round Old Harry Rocks and stops at Swanage pier, before returning to Poole Harbour. It does NOT pass Charmouth or surrounding fossil cliffs farther west.
Lots of fun and an interesting look at the coast. And the chalk cliffs
Lovely outing with great views. The audio from captain were great explaining the surrounding areas and their history.
I did the trip with a friend as we wanted to visit swanage and originally we were looking for a one-way ticket in order to return by bus, but the ticket price was better value booking the round trip. We enjoyed the first trip so much we decided to come back the same way. The crew were friendly and helpful and boarding was easy. You can book online but it’s just as easy at the kiosk on the quay. The captain gave a running commentary on the area being very knowledgeable and interesting, also adding humour 🤣. The weather was good and the sea was smooth which also helped. Majority of people decided to sit on deck but for those who didn’t want to there was plenty of indoor seating. There was also a bar selling hit and cold drinks and snacks. All in all I can highly recommend it.
My girlfriend and I were on the Coastal Cruises Poole ship with a few other people on Sep 04, 26. It was a very cloudy day with some drizzle, which did not stop us from taking this booked tour. We were even informed that we could have canceled free of charge due to the weather. The crew was super friendly and helpful, the view of "Old Harry Rocks" on the Jurassic Coast was phenomenal. The captain also gave a lot of information. As constructive feedback, I would recommend that he talk a little less during the return trip so that one can enjoy this spectacular view in peace.
We went on an afternoon trip there was 4 of us. The boat was not full in fact it was quite empty but it was very friendly the staff were very helpful. They have a drinks kiosk on the boat so that was really good . We didn't have youngsters but if you have little ones they would love boat I would recommend this trip if you like boat trips.
Lovely boat trip with some wonderful views, the captain was really informative and funny and the rest of the staff were lovely. Great day out.
