Today, as the sun climbs above Vesuvius, you begin reliving your last hours before the eruption: searching for your husband in the Forum, protecting your daughter, and escaping through streets that will soon be buried forever. This self-guided quest takes you on a walk through the ruins of Pompeii. Using the Questo app on your smartphone, you follow Octavia's story at 14 stops: from the Forum and the Temple of Jupiter, through the House of the Faun and the Thermopolium, to the plaster casts of the Hortus of the Fugitives and the Amphitheatre. One of the world's great archaeological sites, brought to life through a story that ends as Pompeii did. Best during the day.
