Pompeii Archaeological Park Tour

I couldn't have asked for a better trip: from the initial booking phase with Gennaro to our visit to Pompeii with his brother Angelo, everything was smooth and professional. The took care of tickets and Angelo even met us earlier because the train we were on got in earlier than the start time. He was great about making sure we got to visit the best sites without the crowds and did all of his explanations in the shade. He was funny, interesting, and a fantastic guide. Not many can say they visited Pompeii with a Volcanologist!

I thought I had already visited and explored the Pompeii archaeological site far and wide, then the experience with Gennaro, our super guide, allowed me to observe the ruins through a completely different lens. By involving us at every step and delving into every aspect of the journey, Gennaro illustrated the history, customs, and traditions of a civilization we thought we knew but of which we actually only had a vague and approximate idea. This experience convinced us to return to the excavations to finally see Pompeii as we had not known it until now. I recommend the experience with Gennaro to everyone, as he made the tour truly pleasant and complete.

We had a great 2 hour tour with Anna. She was helpful in navigating us through the site to hit the highlights and avoid the crowds in the hot summers day. She shared a great deal of important details that helped to bring Pompei to life.

The guide was very knowledgeable and led a smooth walk through our three hour tour. I highly recommend it!

Genarro is hilarious and makes Pompeii come alive. He was incredibly flexible and moved the tour to accommodate our cancelled train. Definitely do this tour with this guy!! It was really interesting - more so than expected.

We had a great visit to the Pompeii Ruins with Gennaro. We didn't realize how big they were but he provided a thorough history and pointed out all the things we needed to see in the time we had. Would highly recommend!

Our tour guide Gennaro was very welcoming and friendly. My friends and I really liked him because he was funny but also informative. He gave us a lot of suggestions for places to eat and where to take pictures in Pompeii. I highly recommend him to be your tour guide!! He is so fun!
