Perfumed Discovery Workshop 50mL in Paris

Interesting concept, but the customer experience is frankly disappointing. After an initial call and then a new contact to book a private workshop as a gift, we were only informed at the end that an additional $65 is required for an evening or weekend slot. Information that was never mentioned before. It is not so much the extra charge that is the problem, but the way of proceeding. When positioning oneself in the "luxury" and premium experience market, transparency should be impeccable from the start. We mainly felt like we discovered hidden fees at the last moment, which completely ruins the experience and the desire to book. It's a shame because the concept seemed appealing.

Our experience at Le Estudio des perfums was nothing short of magical. Creating my own perfume was insightful, inspiring, and deeply creative, an experience that was as fun as it was meaningful. From learning about the art and science of fragrance to blending notes that felt truly personal, every moment felt thoughtfully curated and joyful. Sophie made the experience unforgettable. She is incredibly warm, welcoming, and exceptionally knowledgeable, a true expert who effortlessly guides you while encouraging your creativity. Her passion for perfumery is contagious, and she makes you feel completely at ease throughout the process. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Paris or anyone who loves fragrance and creativity. It’s a beautiful way to connect with scent on a deeper level, and I sincerely hope to return one day to create another perfume.

My college age daughter and myself had a wonderful afternoon at Les studios de perfumes. CONFIRMATION: We used their website to book directly rather than a 3rd person group like TripAdvisor, where they promptly confirmed our reservation as well as sent a reminder email (we originally booked with another perfumer via viator but had no contact, no confirmation, no record of activity thus we assumed they never received our reservation…that’s another story). Les studios was incredibly professional in handling our reservation. OUR EXPERIENCE : Lola, our “nez”, was fabulous. She gave a really interesting detailed explanation as to not only what we were doing but how and why in both French and English as there was another person in our tiny 3 person group who did not speak English. We did not feel rushed or ignored as rated our scents. Lola was also very patient -it took my daughter and I longer to create our perfumes following the recipe Lola created for us based on our scent likes and rankings- than the other person in our group who finished about half an hour early than we did. It was interesting as she thoughtfully asked us questions as she created our personal perfume recipe making sure to balance the base notes, middle and top notes of our unique scents. FINISHING UP: At the end she helped us come up with an interesting name for our perfume, made sure we correctly finished paperwork that would allow us to reorder our creations if we wanted in the future and gave us some very welcomed recommendations of a special cake place and other food recommendations. 5/5 all day long. Our experience creating perfume guided by Lola was amazing and I recommend you do this the first day you are in Paris as you will create a scent that will be tied to your Paris memories. Sophie was amazing! So fun to figure out your own scent. She made great suggestions to improve each scent. She was patient and kind through the whole experience.

This will be the 4th time I call on Studio des Parfums, and each time, I am even more delighted. A warm welcome, a professional team, attentive. I love it! 😍

one a priori vis-à-vis all these creative workshops.... incredible experience that combines our emotions, our life and our desires!! I was able to realize a perfume that matches me and that I already love as a signature of my personality. I don't think I'll spray anything else on my skin and I'm almost afraid it'll disappear like a scent... fortunately the secret formula stays at studio and I already want to recommend my perfume when I barely put away my first bottle!!

I celebrated my birthday in Paris, hosting 22 guests at Le Studio des Parfums. The event was a great success; my friends and family loved it and had the opportunity to create their own perfumes to take home as souvenirs. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you to the organizer.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. If you are driving do not and I mean DO NOT book this. I got to the site an hour early. I called at 4 pm (my booking was at 5) because I couldn’t find parking. So I asked the person where can I park and she says “I can’t help you” I’m like okay then and that was the end of the call. Took me an hour and 9 minutes to find parking which was 20 minutes away. I called at 5:09 pm and ask to see if I could still take the class when I get there in 20 minutes. The same lady says “no the class has started and I won’t be able to catch up.” So I say “ok well it’s not my fault I was here an hour early and whoever picked up the phone said they wouldn’t help me.” She said “ yes that’s me and I can’t help you with parking but I can reschedule you.” Mind you I was in France for 4 days and my days were scheduled. I said no I need a refund. “We can’t do that” and I said but it wasn’t my fault and all she said was “it’s the day of the appointment and we never guaranteed parking” if you check the listing it doesn’t mention anything about parking. It does not say they won’t guarantee it or that it’s even included. True. But they also never mentioned you will not find parking close by. I spent $350 for a class I couldn’t take and won’t get my money back on. Viator was no help either. Just beware.
