Discover the beauty of Kyoto and Join me on this E-bike cycle tour through Kyoto’s enchanting back streets to the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine. Discover hidden gems and explore stunning temples along the way. Immerse yourself in Japan’s rich culture and ask me any questions you have for an authentic Kyoto experience. On this tour, we will cover a variety of topics including Buddhism, Shintoism, and Samurai. This tour will take roughly 4 hours.
Tour Options
Itinerary
After being kitted out with your ebike and short 10 minute cycle we will be in Gion. You will enjoy Kyoto's beautiful scenery and learn about the fascinating Geisha culture.
After Gion we cycle for roughly 15 minutes to the Higashiyama area. Your guide will take you to a beautiful temple with some hidden secrets. We will also stop for a quick snack.
Shrine gates
After Fushimi Inari Shrine we will cycle for roughly 10 minutes to the Tōfuku-ji Temple complex. From there following the beautiful Kamogawa River we will cycle back to the start point.

A super way to spend 4 hours and get to experience some of Kyoto. Even in the hot summer weather, this is a great idea. The bikes are electric and easy to use and require little or no effort to ride around the city and provide a cool breeze and relief from the heat. All of this is great and I am sure there are many bike hires to choose from BUT if you want a great experience pick this one and Maki our magnificent guide. She is a wonderfully fun and empathic tour guide who will accommodate your needs, educate you, is personable and makes sure you are given treats along the way. You will have to book to find out what they are but I can only encourage you to do so. The 4 hours goes very quickly and you are left with a happy joyfulness for the rest of the day having met someone who obviously loves her job and makes sure you get the best experience of Kyoto.

Amazing tour with great bikes and a wonderful guide. Every question was answered and she went above and beyond by buying us drinks and candy! We got to see and learn about a japanese culture as well as the history og Kyoto. We visited different temples and shrines in the area and I was a great way to survive the heat. Would 100% recommend!

Maki is a very nice guide who knows a lot about the history of Japan. Her English is very good. The ebikes were easy to ride so it doesn’t take a lot if effort to bike for 4 hours. We highly recommend this tour when you visit Kyoto.

This was a great tour! Maki is a wonderful guide who knows all the backroads of Kyoto, so there was a lot of fun riding through tight streets in cool neighborhoods. The stops along the way were beautiful and educational and gave us a solid foundation for becoming familiar with the city. Even in 98-degree heat we managed to have a blast!

I have done many bike tours around the world and this was the best bike tour I have ever done. Our guide was amazing. She made the day so much fun and we learnt so much about life in Kyoto.
