We had a wonderful time. As an anecdote: We were visiting the Père Lachaise cemetery as a couple, at our own pace, when we crossed paths with a group that was on a guided tour. He immediately integrated us into the group in a very warm and attentive way. His enthusiasm and diction made us want to see more! Knowing that we had already missed a part of it, we asked for more information so we could come back later... We even came back the very next day because we were impatient! And we did the right thing. It was an extraordinary, lively, and human tour. We laughed, were impressed, and felt very privileged. However, there were a bit too many of us on Saturday. This was not felt in the quality of the presentation but rather in some slightly narrow passages. Fans of juicy stories looking for an alternative route with an attentive and passionate guide, go for it! And thank you Jade for the quality of the exchanges and information.
A fascinating walk with Jamie who was a passionate and very knowledgeable guide. Would highly recommend if you want to learn the history of this amazing cemetery and its characters.
We had an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and gave us fun and interesting stories as we were guided around. Just the right amount of information as well. Very friendly and pleasant too. We were really glad we decided to do a tour! Definitely advise good footwear as there a lots of cobbled areas and some steps/slopes to climb. Only saw a couple of benches to sit down, so lots of time spent standing too, so it’s a bit of a workout. In hot weather bring some water too. Well worth the trip though!
This tour did not focus only on celebrities, fortunately for me, but also on love stories, phantasmagorical and ghostly. We came across a young guide who was passionate about his work and the stories he told us. This person had a beautiful voice, very harmonious and narrative; it was a real pleasure to learn with him.
Very nice visit, interesting stories, and a passionate guide. We really liked the route, which was a bit different from the others because of the darker stories that were told there.
Our tour guide patiently waited for us to join her. We were 10 minutes late and she met us with a smile. The historic knowledge she shared about the cemetery and the people buried there was fascinating and in depth. We had a great time.
Very friendly guide, and a very interesting tour!
Not quite as ghostly and scary as I thought it would be, but still very interesting. A lot of walking up and down very rocky and narrow passages. You need to pay attention to where you’re stepping ! We were there for the Jim Morrison grave, but the others were very interesting. also Guide did a great job. A little long winded on some of the graves but still good job.
Our guide Etienne had chosen iconic tombs that were surrounded by incredible and very interesting stories. I commend his storytelling talents and enthusiasm. He seemed passionate, and as a result, it was exciting. Thank you very much.
Walking up steep stairs, cobblestones, interesting history and archeology. Saw many graves, big place
