A serene, scenic escape in the heart of Nara, Japan, known for its friendly, free-roaming deer. Surrounded by historic sites like Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Shrine, the park blends nature, culture, and wildlife in a uniquely charming way. The peaceful atmosphere, shaded by tall trees and dotted with ponds, makes it perfect for a relaxing stroll. One of Japan’s most iconic and beautiful landmarks. Surrounded by stone walls, moats, and lush gardens, the castle rises proudly with its white walls, golden accents, and green roof tiles shining in the sun. As you approach, the grandeur of the structure is breathtaking. Inside, the castle has been turned into a modern museum with interactive exhibits, armor displays, and panoramic views of Osaka from the top floor. The history of samurai battles and powerful leaders comes to life as you explore each level. The surrounding park is equally stunning, especially in spring when cherry blossoms bloom, creating a picture-perfect scene. Walking through the peaceful gardens, past stone bridges and water-filled moats, makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Whether you're into history or just love beautiful places, a tour of Osaka Castle is both fun and unforgettable. It’s a must-see highlight of any Osaka trip.

As you walk along the Dotonbori River, the reflections of colorful signs and the iconic Glico Running Man create a stunning night view. Beyond the food, shopping is a huge draw, with trendy boutiques, souvenir stores, and quirky shops lining the busy streets. Dotonbori is where Osaka’s energy truly comes alive!

We had such a great time on this day trip. Darelen, our guide, was delightful and a great fit for our family, which made the entire day even more fun. We loved feeding the deer at Nara, visiting temples and shrines, and Osaka Castle. Darelen was a great resource to help us find delicious street food in Osaka and local restaurants for snacks, lunch and dinner. Having a private driver for our family of five was helpful and pick-up and drop-off back at our hotel was convenient. Would definitely recommend this tour as it was customized to our family's preferences.
It is a great way to get a brief overview of Nara and Osaka, and see the most famous photo sites. There is a good amount of driving coming from Kyoto, but this will cover you if you do not have plans to stay in Osaka.
We were picked up from our hotel in Kyoto and taken to Nara and Osaka. Our driver, Somei, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and also chatted to our son a lot about Anime.
This was an awesome tour and our guide Akira was wonderful! He was so kind and patient with our large group of 12 and was so helpful kind and accommodating. He was also very knowledgeable. Nara and Osaka are beautiful. I highly recommend this tour!
If you are planning a tour, book Akira immediately! He turned what could have been a chaotic day into one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the very start, Akira was incredible. When the local deer got a little too comfortable and aggressive trying to get our attention, Akira stepped in like a total pro and calmly saved us from becoming deer snacks. He also went above and beyond caring for my dad when the heat started getting intense. Akira was right there with a cold pack, making sure he was safe, comfortable, and taken care of, which gave our whole family such peace of mind. To top it all off, he tracked down the most delicious pancakes for us! Akira is thoughtful, prepared, knowledgeable, and wonderful to be around. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Akira, for taking such amazing care of us!
Everything was very good although we would have liked a little more explanation of the places we went to, but overall good.
Deciding to take a private tour with Ben was one of the best decision we made on our 10 day trip to Japan! Ben was extremely knowledgeable. He made our visit to Nara and Osaka efficient, comfortable, interesting and, most importantly, fun! We highly recommend spending the day with Scenic Japan Tour and will definitely contact them, again, on our next trip to Japan.
Akira is an excellent tour guide. Well prepared and helpful. We had a great time.
The tour was absolutely amazing! It included all the places I had been looking forward to visiting. The schedule was well planned, and we had enough free time to explore at our own pace. The pickup location was very convenient, and the tour offered excellent value for the price. Our tour guide, Yujiro, was incredibly creative when it came to taking photos. He used our own phones, and the pictures turned out beautiful and professional. He even crouched down to find the best angles! Yujiro was cheerful, friendly, and energetic throughout the entire trip. This tour is perfect for couples, and we truly had a fantastic time. Everyone looked happy and enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended!
Wonderful day trip. Our tour guide Somei was excellent. Couldn’t have asked for someone better. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the sites visited. He was very flexible. Took us to a great lunch spot for authentic Osaka food. Then took us to a dessert place for amazing Japanese cheesecake! A perfect day. The comfortable car ride made the long trip very easy. Highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Somei.
