Original Ground Zero Walking Tour in New York

Description
Meet your expert tour guide for a unique experience at the Ground Zéro site and experience a 1-hour walking tour of the World Trade Center around monuments and memorials dedicated to the victims and survivors of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Visit St. Paul’s Chapel and learn about the role it played after the attacks. Gather at the 9/11 memorial, right in front of the memorial pools. Your guide will give you a detailed description of each monument, from the design of the pools to the architecture of the new World Trade Center and its symbolic use of materials, light, and reflections. Pay tribute to the victims at the Firefighter’s Memorial and the Eleven Tears Memorial, often missed by visitors without a guide. Watch the reconstruction of the site by visiting Brookfield Place and the Oculus, the transportation hub of the new World Trade Center.

Itinerary
Experience an emotional 1-hour walking tour of the NYC 9/11 Ground Zero site. Pay tribute to the fallen heroes and gather near the different monuments. Your tour guide will help you to really understand what happened on that memorial day of the 9/11.
Brookfield Place is NYC's best destination for shopping, dining, cultural events and art exhibits in downtown Manhattan. The guide will just show you the place from outside but you won't go shopping. You can always come back at a latter time to shop by yourself.
The Oculus in NYC is an artistic landmark located within walking distance of the World Trade Center. The guide will show it to you but you won't enter inside. You can always come back and visit it by yourself another time.
After the attacks of September 11, 2001, St. Paul’s Chapel, which sits directly across the street from the World Trade Center site, suffered no physical damage. As recovery work started at the World Trade Center site, hundreds of rescue workers came to Lower Manhattan to search for survivors and begin sorting through the ruins. Slowly at first, rescue workers, police, and firefighters stopped by the chapel to rest and wash up.

Our guide Sergei was so knowledgeable and fun and gave us a fabulous tour of Ground Zero and the surrounding areas.
Zona Cero is a place of deep emotionality and resilience. The 9/11 Memorial honors the lives lost and demonstrates the city's strength and unity in the face of adversity.
Fantastic tour. Very informative and brilliant guide. A must if you are in NYC. Adam our guide was a fountain of knowledge and his personal contact with 9/11 was special.
The tour guide never showed up, so we rang up and they said it wasn’t on the system? So just had to walk around out selves
The tour guide shared nothing about 9-11. He had no info to share abt the happening gs of that day, who responded, what was inaccessible! I had been on a tour last July with a different group and learned so much! Our guide this time knew nothing of what I shared with him! Very disappointing!
Great tour guide who combined facts with his own experiences of that fateful day... Warm friendly guy who took his time, answered questions despite the weather.
I have done two walking tours in New York and have to say they depend on the guide as to how good they are. Anyone can learn the facts but how they are conveyed can bring a tour to life or kill it. Sergei was very knowledgable but his accent was very heavy and hard for me as a native English speaker to understand. The tour was also 1 hour 5, minutes not 1.5 hours as advertised.
Tour guide had no documentation to prove he was a tour guide Continually checked his watch to ensure he didnt go over the hour guide. Tour guide appeared to be new to the occupation When asked about the museum being closed on a Tuesday he didnt know and had to google it!! Shame because Ground Zero itself is a must visit but save the money and make sure you visit on a day the museum is open
Our guide was so knowledgeable and happy. It was a great experience! Highly recommend if you want to get the history and background of New York.
I did two tours with NYC tour and I highly recommend them. The guides are very knowledgable and fun. They are punctual and explain everything we visit. I had a lot of fun and I have no words to say thank you to the whole team because I had a fantastic experience.
