Amber is awesome! She’s a New Orleans native and very knowledgeable on the city and the plantations! She made the ride very fun and safe. I would definitely recommend this tour to the Whitney and Oak Alley plantations! Oak Alley has a delicious mint tulip, and I would recommend getting an umbrella before going to Whitney is going during rainy seasons! Both plantations are very different. At the Oakalley you learn more about the people that own slaves, and the Whitney plantation is more about the experience of the slaves and what they went through which I personally rwally liked learning about.
Our transportation driver "Amber" was great for picking us up to take us to the Plantation. She was great at telling us history along the way, very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. She was there to pick us up at the end and take us back. Our tour guide "Presley" was very knowledgeable, professional and did a great job touring through the Oak Alley Plantation, very nice tour. The self guided tour at the Whitney Plantation was also great, both places had a lot of history and knowledge to obtain.

Our tour guide/ driver Cornell was incredible. He told us a lot about New Orleans history, gave us good suggestions on what else to do. Was really funny and stopped the bus in front of the plantations so we could take nice photos. He even gave us coupons for a restaurant at the end. All in all the whole trip was great, the lands were beautiful and the history at Whitney plantations was insanely insightful.
A very moving experience. Learned a lot of history. Our driver Cornell did an excellent job! Definitely recommend if you love history like I do.
Cornell was the best bus driver he is very knowledgeable and knows a lot about history. He was able to fill the long drive with knowledgeable and fun commentary.
You can easily spend more time at each location, so be mindful of the time. You can take your children. The “Field of Children’s memorial is a beautiful honor and tribute. History comes alive for future generations. Lastly, Mr. Dwane was patient and welcomed questions.
