Phenomenal!!!!!
This food tour was absolutely worth every single dollar!!! Darrell was a phenomenal tour guide, not only did he take us to the best places to eat he give us an in depth lesson in New Orleans history! Art, music, food, and of course Hurricane Katrina. And he even took us to talk to a survivor by the name of Mr. Green who shared his lost and experience with us!! I am definitely going to book this tour again whenever I go back to New Orleans!!

The Greatest Guide Ever!!
We just wrapped up an amazing private tour with Darryl and couldn't be happier. He picked us up right from our hotel and took care of everything. He knows all the best routes to beat the crowds, gave us the inside scoop on the local history, and was incredibly flexible when we wanted to make a quick detour. Darryl is friendly, easygoing, and a fantastic driver. He made our day completely stress-free. 10/10 recommend booking him if you're visiting the area!

Great time!!! Great host. Book thru viator
We had an amazing experience on this food tour! From start to finish, everything felt thoughtfully planned and personalized to our tastes and interests. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like we were exploring the city with a local friend.
Every stop offered something unique and delicious, and we got to learn about the local culture and history along the way. The personalized recommendations and attention to detail made the tour feel special rather than like a standard group experience.
If you're looking for a fun, authentic, and memorable way to experience the local food scene, I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we'd absolutely do it again!

Just book it!
This was one of the highlights of our trip to New Orleans! The NOLA Soul Food Tour was so much more than a food tour. We got to learn about the city’s history, culture, and landmarks, which gave us a whole new appreciation for New Orleans.
The food was outstanding at every stop, and meeting the chefs and owners made the experience even more special.
The best part was how welcomed we felt. We weren’t treated like tourists, we were treated like family. That kind of hospitality is something you don’t forget. If you’re on the fence about booking this tour, do it. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a better understanding of New Orleans, and some wonderful memories.

A wonderful experience from start to finish!
Darrell picked us up at our hotel, so right off the bat we were at ease and got off to a great start. We played it smart and had a light dinner the night before and nothing to eat that morning, which I highly recommend because we had a ton of food! We had everything from beignets to etouffee to po boys to muffalettas. We even had what might be the best sausage ever made. Darrell shared experiences, showed us some important historical sites, and even shared a little bit of his family with us!
This was an all-afternoon affair and was super affordable considering everything we experienced. It was just the two us on our tour, so it was super comfy.
The best part is that you get to go to a bunch of off-the-beaten-path places you might otherwise miss.
Darrell added a lot of history and facts about New Orleans that made the whole experience that much more memorable.
I highly recommend this tour, you will not regret it. Just make sure you show up really, really hungry.

The Real Deal!
Long overdue, but where do I begin?!!
Firstly, Darrel is AMAZING!!! When there was a conflict with the booking, he quickly called to accommodate! I was celebrating my sister's birthday. I surprised my sister with a weekend birthday trip to NOLA, including a concert! Once we'd arrived, he picked us up and man, did he show us a time... all of the DELICIOUS spots, greeted us with wine & some beautiful keepsakes! He even shared some history about the city. We ended up tapping out from pure exhaustion & from traveling that day, lol! New Orleans Soul Food Tour is well worth it & then some! I would DEFINITELY do it again & again. Thank you, Darrel! You are such a VIBE!
