We want to share with you the New Orleans that made us who we are, as we bike through the historic and colorful neighborhoods of the Marigny, By water and St Roch.
It's not just the beauty of the streets, it's the stories they tell us, and we share with you. The street parades, the music, the food, the culture of inclusiveness, the creativity we can all be part of and the art we are surrounded by is no fluke, it is the product of the 300 years of history and culture that came before us. and these are what we will talk about at the many stops along the way.
Our tours are for any age, we cater our stories to each groups interests. The rifing is easy on flat and quiet streets, We bike slow, we bike happy, we wave to traffic and we stop to talk. That is what we would be doing if our company did not exist, so that is what we do since it does.
Feel Free to ask us anything, we are always here for you with advice for your trip, both before and after your tour.
Thanks,
Jeff and Danny

New Orleans Creole History and Culture Ride
Itinerary
15 min
A beautiful park, dating back to the early 1800's, lined with Louisiana's majestic oak trees is where we get to know one another. Located right next to Frenchmen Street, where our best music clubs are, we will orient you to the city and to the deep history that will give to the context to make the rest of the stories you hear make sense.
And a great place to bike a practice lap if it's been awhile.
90 min
The sight is the old Creole neighborhoods themselves. The Marigny is the oldest of the 'suburbs' surrounding the French Quarter, and we get the feeling from the streets and people as we bike slowly through the quiet streets.
Dating back 200 years with architecture and vibes that try to remain the same despite the modern world coming at us, this is where the people who play your music and cook your great food live.
A very local area that all are welcome in.
60 min
Besides the beauty of the neighborhood itself, we will have stops at a few places important to us that explain who we are. We will see the spot of the nation changing Plessy vs Ferguson case, the levee wall and Missisppi River, and examples of local art and spots where our favorite music comes from.
These neighborhoods are all changing before our eyes, we embrace both the past and present with y'all, because both are pretty amazing.
15 min
Our drink and relaxation stop.
A neighborhood tavern that dates back to the 1930's and that we go back a long way with in the neighborhood.
A great place to enjoy the outdoor tables along the old street and ask anything still on your mind while enjoying a drink, or not...whatever you like.
We have the music schedules handy and all the food recommendations you can swallow.
Conversations with everyone at Marie's is how we live, if you like us you will love this spot.
Drink not included in the price of the tour.
If there are children on the tour we may stop at a different place, but fear not, it's all awesome.

Slow Roll with Danny
This was my third tour with Danny. I love to take my friends and family visiting New Orleans on this tour because Danny gives such a phenomenal history of the Treme, Marigny, and surrounds. He is wise and funny. The biking is easy- a very slow roll, no busy streets. Cars are rare. You end up in a tavern for sustenance- a place where you or your group will take the best picture. Ask Danny for restaurant recommendations and he will give you a list long enough to keep you returning to New Orleans for decades. Just do it!
Operator response
A tavern for sustenance is the new may to describe Marie's Bar, I love it, and they will also. Glad you keep coming back for more rolling history....as much history as Danny has shared with you, he's always got more ready for next time! Thanks for choosing ride cruisers in our Creole neighborhoods with us!

Best Tour to Learn NOLA History/Culture
This was my first visit to NOLA and Danny’s tour of the city was great! Lots of anecdotes to fill in the history, the geography, the architecture, the politics, and the cuisine (to name just a few!). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Operator response
Awesome, Danny said y'all were awesome, and this few photos really capture the beauty of the new Mississippi River Park and the color of the Marigny architrcture...kind of better than any photos I have taken! Thanks and say Hi if you ever return...

Super fun way to see NOLA and learn more about the history, art and food!
This was super fun! If you can ride a bike it’s a great way to experience parts of NOLA tourists rarely see or learn about. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and FUN! Perfect for all fitness levels (the tour is flat, and you rarely go farther than 10 blocks before you stop to see something). Of course it ends with an excellent New Orleans bloody mary (regular or virgin)!
Operator response
Glad you had a great time with Danny, I can tell from the description it was our chief raconteur leading you on the Creole Tour, because he loves stopping at Maries *a block from his house in the Marigny!).
If you ever return to New Orleans, reach out as we always love pointing folks in new directions, if you ride with us again or not!
Thanks,
Jeff

Perfect tour!
Amazing bike tour! It felt more like being shown around a neighborhood by a knowledgeable friend rather than a commercial guide. Also the beach cruiser bikes were great and super fun to ride. I learned so much and have spent the rest of my trip rattling off fun facts from the tour to the others in my group! Highly recommend!

Great experience
Danny was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods, history and architecture. It was a great way to see parts of New Orleans that we don’t typically visit. One of the riders got a flat tire and he was able to change it right there while still chatting about New Orleans. Highly recommend!
