Rather than cancel on you, we asked if you'd move to the 8:00, which had several other guests and was set to run. You were flexible about it and we appreciated that. Those guests then cancelled right at 7:00pm, which again, made you the only guests booked on the experience. It's not quite the same experience without others, so we unfortunately had to cancel again. We notified you as soon as we knew. That's a bad outcome and I understand it doesn't feel any better knowing the reason. What I'd change is the timing. Sitting on a confirmed booking until 7:03 gave you no room to plan something else, and we fully understand your frustration. On the refund: bookings made through Viator are refunded by Viator, not by us. When we cancel a departure we notify them immediately and the refund is automatic, but the money moves on their schedule and we have no ability to speed it up or see where it sits. If it hasn't arrived, Viator's customer service is the fastest path. This trips up a lot of guests, and I wish we had more control over it than we do. At 4:45, we texted to let you know and offered two other times we could move you to. When we didn't hear back we emailed at 6:17, and we called as well. We never reached you on any of the three, so the departure didn't run. When you called us, our office had already closed for the evening, which is why you got a recording and ended up asking the bar manager for a number. That's the piece I'd change.
