This was a fantastic experience! We got to meet and pet the working dogs as well as the puppies. The location is gorgeous, and the guides were all super knowledgeable. We were kept in small groups, which made it even better. Plenty of time to learn about the dogs and plenty of time to cuddle. Warning: they don’t let you take any of the puppies home with you. :-)
You get to ride in a cart pulled by a full team of sled dogs. And then you get to meet the team and hold some puppies. Very cool experience with a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
It was fun to learn about dog sledding and how the work with the dogs. It was fun to hold the puppies. It would have been nice for a longer ride.
Fun, short experience. 20+ minute drive each way, 20 minute ride with the dogs followed by a walk on the suspension bridge, brief history of the Iditarod and then cuddles with puppies. Fun experience but docked one star for the high cost ($200 per adult) and no refund policy if need to cancel.
Wonderful experience and fantastic staff. We enjoyed the whole tour from start to finish. They were also very conscientious of time without rushing at all. Excellent staff personalities!
This is a very kid friendly experience. The one thing my granddaughter wanted to do in Alaska was see sled dogs, and she loved it. From the drivers who take you to the camp to the people at the camp, this excursion was great.
Guides were wonderful- lots of interaction with the dogs, who were high energy and ready to run. Educational and fun!
We absolutely loved our trip to the Musher's camp! The dog sled ride was so much fun and we loved getting to hold the puppies. It was great to learn about the musher's and the dogs. Highlight of our trip!
Great time for kids to play and see the dogs. My kids loved it, best excursion on our trip by far. The drive is close, maybe 20 minutes from the port, everything was fantastic. If you have kids and are reading this--then go sign up asap.
It was a very pleasant experience. The walk with the dogs was exciting and the staff's treatment was friendly. Thank you!
