Montreal History Guided Sightseeing Cruise was fine, but nothing particularly special. You mostly get standard city views, and that’s about it. The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The boat took around 20 minutes just to leave the pier and make its first turn, so the ride ended up being about 30 minutes in one direction and 35 minutes coming back. Overall, an okay experience but not very memorable.

The 90-minute cruise takes you around the perimeter of Montreal visible from the St. Lawrence River. Our guide, a young man named Jules, was funny, energetic, knowledgeable when answering questions in private conversation and helpfully bilingual. Food choices on board were limited but tasty. Two drawbacks about seating: If you’re in the bow to get the best frontal view, you don’t hear the guide. And seating inside in a shady area is limited; the upper deck, where Jules snd most travelers were, has no roof. For 90 minutes, that wasn’t much of a problem.
Hello, thank you for your review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cruise and that Jules helped make the experience engaging with his energy, knowledge, and bilingual commentary. We also appreciate your comments regarding the seating options and the audibility of the guide from certain areas of the vessel. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we hope to welcome you aboard again soon! — The Croisières AML team ⚓
This was sold to us as a guided history cruise, which was the only reason we booked. Zero was said at all while on the cruise. The staff were great but this was not what we paid for. We wanted to learn about the area and again there was zero information spoken throughout the cruise. Will not be doing anything like this again.

Get there early! We showed up a half hour early and we got a decent seat but to get the best outdoor upper level seats you need to get there closer to 45 minutes early. We were competing with cruise ship Travelers which probably was a contributing factor.

Thank you as well for sharing your helpful tip for future visitors regarding arrival time. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you aboard again soon! — The Croisières AML team ⚓
The commentary was poor. Insufficient historical info. Too shouty. Terrible singing. Very poor table service. slow and wrong drinks provided.

weather was great ,, we sat outside, didn’t really go far and there’s not much to see …other than the skyline … I’m afraid the speaker was tough to understand as I’m hard of hearing and he spoke a bit too quickly in English … Still we are glad to have a comfortable ride and service was good.

A wasted opportunity. Thirty-45 minutes out from the dock with some commentary. The entire return trip nothing. Very little about the history of the city, shipping and ports we were passing, the seaway, noteworthy individuals and their mark on the city, anything. Could have rented a pontoon boat and read Fodor's along the way for better use of my time and money. If you sign up for a cruise tour, you want to learn about where you're cruising. Understand your audience.
