Itinerary
Meet your guide at the France Tourisme Agency, just a 3-minute walk from the Louvre's entrance. Here you'll receive your pre-booked ticket and a short introduction to the extraordinary building you're about to enter, once a fortress, then a royal palace for the Kings of France, and now home to some of the world's most famous art.
Walk out into the main courtyard for your first glimpse of the iconic glass Pyramid, then step inside for a focused route built around the Louvre's true essentials. With your guide, come face-to-face with Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, marvel at the timeless beauty of the Venus de Milo, and stand before the dramatic Winged Victory of Samothrace, plus other major masterpieces when available, such as Veronese's Wedding Feast at Cana, Jacques Louis David's Coronation of Napoleon, and powerful French Romantic works by Delacroix and Géricault. Along the way, your guide reveals the stories, symbols, and secrets that turn these icons into unforgettable memories.
Once your guided tour ends, the Louvre is still yours. Enjoy free time to keep exploring at your own pace, within the same wing of the building.

A wonderful tour, the guide was very passionate and knowledgeable of the Louvre. Gave great presentations of the art we viewed and kept me interested during the whole tour.
Florian was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and showed us a great deal of detail while viewing the artists work.
Our tour guide wasn’t the most personable person we’ve toured with on this trip soft spoken and difficult to follow. There were 6 of us on this tour and the guide only brought 4 audio devices, so I was one of the folks who just walked along side the group. When asked questions he did have the knowledge.
Cannot remember the fella’s name who took us around but he was the highlight of the experience. Very passionate and knowledgeable about every piece he showed us and any questions we had he would answer with ease. It was a busy Saturday so trying to see the Mona Lisa was a bit of a nightmare but too be honest we were not that bothered as there was so much more to see than just that.
We hit the jackpot with Sinsin (spelling?). We booked a small group tour and the other family didn't show. We ended having a personal tour. Our guide was VERY educated, having his national certification. Got to see the Bug 3 and then her used the rest of the time showing us several pieces and sharing his wealth of knowledge. After the 2 hours, we the had the remainder of the day to wonder the museum on our own. Highly recommend and request Sinsin.
Thank you so much Thank you Thank you
This is a good introduction to the Louvre and its collection. It can be overwhelming to go alone. It is much easier to go with someone who knows the Louvre well and is even recognized by the staff. There is no way be comprehensive in two hours, but you will see most of the most famous pieces of art in the museum, including Winged Victory, Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, the Wreck of the Medusa, Napoleon's Coronation, etc.

You are absolutely right: with so much to discover, having a knowledgeable guide by your side makes it possible to focus on some of the Louvre’s most iconic masterpieces, from the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo to Winged Victory and The Coronation of Napoleon. We are especially happy that you appreciated the expertise of our guide and the smooth experience. At France Tourisme, our passion is to make Parisian culture accessible, fascinating, and memorable. If you return to Paris, we would love to welcome you on a guided visit of the Musée d’Orsay or take you on a relaxing cruise along the Seine to discover the city from another perspective. Ellyesse was a fantastic tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable on anything and everything in the Louvre. He was able to tell us things about the art that we otherwise would’ve never known, showed us the door where the theft happened and pieces of art we otherwise may not have seen. He was patient with us while we looked around and spoke phenomenal English as well. Highly recommend this tour as it made walking through the Louvre so enjoyable.
Excellent tour. A guided tour is the way to go. A small group makes it better. Our guide, Sensei, is an excellent storyteller and combined with his own passions and interest gave us a beautiful experience at the Lourve. He was personable, knowledgeable and took his time to make sure we enjoyed the experience. The Lourve is HUGE. If youre in Paris and have the ti.e to go everyday for four days, then take your time and explore it all. Otherwise, the big three are completely covered by the guided tour. What you'll see is completely dependent upon the guide and the day, but with a limited window, its amazing. At the end, it was just my wife and I. It was perfect.
Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. We saw all the major pieces of art plays so much more. Was great to not have to queue to get into the Louvre.
Bonjour, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your guided tour and that your guide's knowledge and passion made your visit to the Louvre even more memorable. We hope to welcome you again soon for a guided tour of the Musée d'Orsay or one of our excursions to Versailles or Giverny. Kind regards, Alice de France Tourisme
