A depressing story line, best avoided!

Really disappointed as the story line is so depressing. The story is about divorce, separation and is certainly not a feel good theatre visit. Although the music is good I came away feeling sad and not lifted up by the experience!

Amazing!

A great and uplifting experience from start to finish. What a fabulous evening! The singing and dancing were superb of course. The actress playing Nancy particularly outstanding. Loved it all, can't fault anything. Just go.

Sinatra at Aldwych

Having walked to the Aldwych Theatre at the bottom of Drury Lane from Liverpool Street we were ready for a sit down. The walk on the hottest day of the year took 30 mins but we managed to stay mostly in the shade, up Cheapside and past St Pauls. Air conditioned bliss in the Aldwych. Show was good but not Les Mis brilliant. Saw main leads, Sinatra was fantastic, as was Billie Holliday but the other lead ladies I thought were a little bit harsh when singing loudly. Story line was quite dark in places and it was a proper musical as opposed to songs sung in a concert setting with cast bursting into song as part of the story. Had a lovely time but Im not sure it will run for a long time.

An opportunity wasted...

This has so much potential given the quality of the back catalogue and the incredible story to tell. I'm afraid, however this didn't hit the spot for me. The script is poor and what should have been really poignant moments were glossed over with the emotional depth of a high school production. The odd big song and dance number lifted it slightly, but without the incredible back catalogue this would have been a disaster. The band were fabulous, but hidden away for most of it, and there was reasonable vocal talent on show, but with a script as poor as this I fear a short run......A shame

Not what I expected

If you’re going to do a musical about one of the greatest singers ever perhaps focus a bit more on the success. The majority of the performance is about his philandering and fall from grace in the early days and the last twenty minutes on his rise again following “ From here to eternity “ The show should have perhaps started around the time of his divorce from Nancy imo🤷‍♂️ That said the portrayal of Sinatra was fantastic and the guy playing him was very like him vocally👏👏

Boring

Underwhelming for us. A few left at the interval. Singing is very good as is the dancing Storyline however very boring, just focussed on his love life and very little else
