London: British Museum Guided Tour & Priority Entry

Elisabetta (Ellie) was a fantastic guide. She has an art history degree and shared so a lot of interesting perspectives. I appreciated it because I know nothing about art or art history. And she was extremely personable and friendly. It was obvious she was showing off one of her favorite places in London. I highly recommend Ellie as a tour guide!

Exciting tour of the British Museum with our guide Sarah. She knew how to captivate the children (9 years old) and perfectly adapt to them. Several days later they are still talking about it and remember her very clear explanations about the Rosetta Stone, the mummies, the museum collections perfectly.... We didn't see the time pass!

What you need to know above all is that Ms. Sarah Knoepfli was perfect in her work: I had all the information I could wish for when I visited the British Museum and she had an answer for everything. She demonstrated great professionalism and an impeccable sense of precision. But it must also be said that I was alone with her, so I was able to ask her all the questions I wanted.

It’s the only way to see and understand what you are seeing especially if it’s your first time there. Luca was knowledgeable, thorough fans so informative that it made for a perfect tour of the museum. His insights were on point.

Sarah was a great guide and we were her only 2 on the tour she was personable and flexible allowing us to ask questions and see some things we wanted to see. We liked the Assyrian artifacts, very interesting. We saw the Rosetta Stone, the mummies, the Egyptian/Roman/ Greek treasures which she was very knowledgable about. Since visiting the Parthenon last year in Athens and being told several of their artifacts could be seen in this museum and she took us to that room as well upon request. She met us where indicated and provided good communication for meeting her.

I had already been to the British Museum, but this is the first time I have done it on a guided tour: and I do not regret it at all! Our guide, Sarah, is a passionate and fascinating person. She provided us with many details and anecdotes about the pieces she showed us, and was very quickly able to find the answers to some more specific questions we were asking ourselves. A big thank you to her for this tour!

Elisabeta was gracious to wait for me and my daughter to arrive as it had been raining down hard and the Underground had some delays. Elisabeta was knowledgeable about all parts of the museum and offered some interesting insights into specific pieces we saw. Fascinating museum!
