- You must meet your guide to receive priority entry into the museum
- Headsets are provided for the guided tour, but please bring your own headphones to enjoy the audio guide in your own time
- Items that are not permitted include: large bags heavier than 8kg, wheeled cases, folding bicycles and more. Visit the British Museum website for a full list of prohibited items
- Pushchairs are permitted on-site. Fold-up prams and buggies can be left free of charge in the cloakroom
- Cloakroom fees include: coats £2, bags up to 4kg £2.50, bags 4-8kg £5, umbrellas £1

It is very difficult to find the correct audio for each exhibit. The museum is very spread out and the text on the audio guide is very small.

Museum time slots were sold out. Our guide gave us the option of meeting in person or to forward us the audio tour and priority tickets - we chose to meet in person, he walked us to the proper entrance, easy peasy.
