7 Colored Lagoon
I thought we were going to see the two lakes on the itinerary, but we ended up going to the seven colored lagoon which my opinion is way better. It’s also higher in altitude so go prepared.

This is one of our most requested tours, for being a true paradise, beautiful landscapes. This tour have the most extraordinary landscapes of our Peruvian mountains, enjoy a day of trekking and adventure in Canta and discover the legend of the Cordillera de la Viuda!. The mountain range is made up of a series of peaks partially covered with snow that reach a height of 5,500 meters; There are lagoons with crystalline waters that take on various colors, hence their names, Laguna de Siete Colores, Azulcocha, Verdecocha, and the Chunchún lagoon with celestial waters.

Zona Arqueologica Petroglifos de Checta
Departure (5am) During the journey we will be able to enjoy the beautiful and impressive landscapes of the Lima mountains. • On the way to the Cordillera La Vida, we will pass by the Checta Petroglyphs, where traces have been found on stones where you can see stylized drawings of animals, humans on the hunt, elements of the cosmos and other somewhat abstract ones that are presented to various interpretations.
Laguna Chuchun
• On the road, we will stop to have a look on the viewpoint of Cochapampa. • We will arrive at our main point: Laguna de Chuchun, Laguna Ocho, Laguna Leoncocha and the sighting of the snow-capped mountain range of La Viuda.
• After enjoying our impressive landscapes, we will visit the fish farm of the HUAROS community, where we can learn a little more about trout farming. • Lunch Time
Canta
• We will visit the city of Canta; Also called Heroica Villa, for having played a leading role in the battles for independence and in the war with Chile. • City Tour of Canta,to visit the Plaza de Armas with its historic colonial pool, the portals of the Republican era, the Church to admire the patrons of Canta, the most important Mariscal Chaperito. • We will visit the market where you can do your shopping, it is recommended: (flat bread, rolls, rosquitas, humitas, tamales canteños, honey, manjar blanc, cow butter, cow cheeses, beef, etc.) • Visit to the sanctuary where our Patron Saint lived, the chapel and the wishing well.

Look for other tour operators options
The experience was disappointing due to several major concerns. The driver was extremely unprofessional, driving recklessly and using the horn excessively—about every 15 seconds—to force other cars aside. While driving through the mountains, he was going so fast that many passengers felt nauseous and unwell. The restaurant where the tour guide stopped was also unacceptable. There was no menu, the food was of very poor quality, and my meal even contained animal hairs. No alternatives were mentioned, and the guide didn’t inform us of any nearby restaurants we could choose instead. Additionally, the tour guide was not present at the designated starting point. Instead, the bus arrived alone to pick us up, and she joined the group later at a second location. There was no prior communication about this change, leaving everyone confused and walking around searching for her. This added unnecessary stress, especially since we were all concerned about the departure time. Although we were told departure would be at 4:30 a.m. with a 10-minute grace period, the bus didn’t leave until nearly 5 a.m.

Incredible Day trip to the Andes Mountains
An incredible day! This was the break from the city that I wanted and received during my vacation in Lima. The Andes Mountains are like none other. While the language barrier was evident, the tour guide offered incredible support and help. Grateful! Highly recommend ✔️
