Akii was awesome! Knowledgeable, accommodating, safe driver, had a plan to avoid crowds. He even went the extra mile, literally, by climbing to the summit to the monkey park! And a great photographer! As a mom usually taking the pictures, it’s nice to actually be in them. The car was very comfortable, plenty of room for our tall family (6’3”), and good a/c. The entire day went smoothly and even though it is about an 8 hour day, it didn’t feel long at all. Not having to navigate transit, tickets, or plan any of this is well worth it. A very stress free way to experience so many of the iconic sights. If there was one attraction to skip, it would be Nashiki Market. While it’s good for souvenirs and treats, there isn’t any truly unique spots there and it is overcrowded mostly with tourists. The merch and food was very much like other markets. I would find a less crowded, more local market instead. Hotel pick up and drop off.

We had a great day on this tour. Our driver and guide, Yash, was very insightful and serviceminded. He took us to several of the main sights in Kyoto, among other Bamboo Forest. He taught us a lot about japanese culture. Smart to use such a service to get around and see a lot, especially when its so hot that its difficult to walk long distances.

Touring Kyoto on a scorching hot summer day could have been exhausting, but booking this private car tour was the best decision we made. Service was perfect. Front door service, 5 min early and very knowledgeable and easy to communicate and learn. We arranged a trip not knowing the day of would be 41 degrees Celsius which was rough, but our guide and driver got us in and out of everything we wanted to see before we all melted. He was a joy to be around and very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend.
