Participants must be certified divers to take this trip. If you are not certified you must book the Discover Scuba diving program Sail Rock is considered a world class dive site and is the closest dive site to Koh Samui. Your day will start with us picking you up at your hotel approximately 7:00 am. We will take you to the pier where you can enjoy some light breakfast and coffee/tea and meet Discovery Divers Team. The boat will leave the pier at 8:00 am, it takes approximately 50 minutes to reach this outstanding dive site. Amazing big school of fish, as well as some of the most spectacular underwater scenery. with regular Whale sharks sightings, but not guaranteed. It is also a great option if you wish to be back relatively early as we normally return back to the pier at Koh Samui about 14:00.

The dive centre will then reply to you with the appropriate pick up time for the morning of your dive trip. If we do not receive this email then we are not able to pick you up on the morning of the dive trip. Pick up transfers. Kindly note that hotel transfers are included in the rates apart from hotels/villas located on the South side of the island to the North West side of the island, for this area there is an additional transfer fee of 1000 thb round trip.

I recently did the 2 dive trip to sail rock, I can’t recommend it enough. My guide Pierre was amazing and super nice, he made the trip feel safe and also very very fun, there was a good briefing at the start and time to get to know your group you are diving with. The lunch on board the boat in between dives was fab. 10/10 !
If I could give this place double the stars, I would. I hadn’t logged a dive in maybe 8 years before today and I was a little anxious, especially with the chop at sail rock. He calmly talked me out of my worries and made me feel so comfortable. We did a simple refresher then had two great dives saw barracuda, angelfish with purple stripes and many I don’t know. It was fascinating and good to be down again thanks to the great assistance from Discovery!
My family and I did a 2-tank dive at Sail Rock with Discovery Dive on August 22, 2026; the dive depends a lot on visibility and that day it wasn't ideal, but despite everything, we saw large schools of Jackfish and Barracuda all around us (unfortunately no whale shark), but the organization was perfect: punctual pick-up, rental equipment OK, comfortable, fast speedboat equipped with everything needed, equipment already prepared and just needing a check, good meal on board. One thing that struck me positively was the instructor/guide-to-diver ratio: practically there was one for every small group, it's not even like that in the Maldives; ours (Phisher) was also particularly attentive and friendly and even took photos and videos for us with his action-cam. Definitely recommended for those who want to go diving starting from Koh Samui.

Top pro and safe dive trip to Sail Rock. This was my teenage daughters first real dive after OW certification. She was a bit nervous and very excited. Due to the very pro and experienced dive master, Zoe, she had the best dive. Everything was so well organized and safe. As an experienced diver I was very impressed . Good gear, fast boat, nice lunch and great five site. Zoe even provided us with a bunch of complimentary great photos and videos. I liked how there was a max of 4 divers per divemaster, and the teams were made up with divers a dame experience level. It even seemed like Discovery Divers succeeded in providing the divers with dive masters of same first or second language. Would recommend everyone, experienced and beginners to go on a trip with Discovery Divers.
The discovery divers commanded well, we could count on a dive master of excellent quality, very attentive and at the time it needed gave a touch on the best way to breathe that worked very well, I recommend Cyrille as an excellent DM
