Chumphon Pinnacle-Koh Tao 2 dive trip for certified divers

Awesome diving experience with four dives conducted over two days (including ethical and incredible whale shark encounter). Scuba diving with Discovery Divers was the highlight of my holiday in Koh Samui and I am grateful to them for a number of reasons: 1) another shop had cancelled on me, so I had initially given up on diving during this trip. 2) Discovery Divers were prompt and professional in responding to my WhatsApp messages and were able to book me in for the next day. 3) I enjoyed my first day of diving, so I booked again for the next day and they promised to try different locations for the second day - which paid off immensely for everyone (read on). Highlights: Professional and friendly staff with multiple languages catered for and all skill sets are welcome. Reliable scuba equipment and their own speedboats offering comfort, safety and fast travel times to dive sites. Small groups of divers, so you get personalised attention. Briefings for the boat and diving are clear and focused on safety, but still delivered with good humour. The whale shark encounter at Shark Island - obviously this is not something that can be scheduled or guaranteed (nature - duh!) but we had an incredible encounter with a whale shark and it was the whale shark that controlled the encounter (younger whale sharks can display curiosity towards divers). The whale shark initially swam past us, but then returned and continued to circle us for twenty minutes. My best ever diving experience (and I've logged over 160 dives). Returning to Koh Samui for holidays after one year, I decided to return also to Discovery Divers for my scuba diving. I was again very well impressed by this dive center: very professional and friendly team of international instructors, quality scuba gear and speedboats, excellent coaching and service with instructors doing their very best to optimise my diving experience ( including photo/ video shooting). Highly recommended.

This was my second dive day with them. Very professional in running the whole operation. Good equipment, fast and comfortable boat. Two great dive masters, Philip and Margot, really caring about our safety but also trying to show us everything under the water. Thank Margot for the lovely videos.

This is a great dive operation with a bunch of fantastic staff. Led by Man it was a truly super trip to Chumphon. My son, an instructor, had dived there before but for me it was a first. Discovery left on time and arrived back on time. Lunch was good and the whole experience superb.

My 17 year old son booked a series of dives with Discovery and we cannot recommend them more. Extremely friendly, professional, great kit and timely hotel pick ups. We sotted a whale shark three times with the opportunity to dive close to it plus many amazing fish and locations at Koh Tao, Sail Rock and Chumphon Pinnacle.

After learning to dive in 2014 with Discovery Divers, and diving with them again in 2019 and 2020, I went back again in september 2025. Couple of new divemasters, but as good as before! Equipment perfect, nice food, great boat staff. Only negative was that I only saw 3 whale sharks ( 1 Sail Rock, 2 Chumpon Pinnacle) in 12 dives...that really needs improvement!
