Our captains and naturalists are there to show you a great time and answer any questions you have. We limit our capacity so you get an intimate VIP experience. Shuttle to and from Downtown Juneau is provided.

Type in Charter Juneau into your maps and meet at our location. We meet 15 minutes prior to your whale watch start time. Look for a large Black Shuttle bus parked in the lot at the address and check in with our driver and greeters.

The tour was canceled due to engine failure. And due to our schedule we were unable to rebook on the later excursions
Our tour was canceled by the tour operator due to difficulties with their boat motor. We were assured of a full refund since this was in no way caused by us and we were forced to find an alternative tour on our own. However, I am still waiting to see a refund.
We arrived at the port in Juneau, to find out via email that our tour was cancelled due to an engine failure on the tour boat! They gave us a suggested replacement company and apologized. The new tour company was $400.00 more than the original booking. Charter Juneau should have arranged the new company and the original rate instead of leaving us stranded at the pier. Once I returned home, I contacted VIATOR, and Charter Juneau. Viator responded but said they could do nothing. Charter Juneau never even responded. I called the replacement company Juneau Tours and Serena worked with me to give me their rate had I booked directly with them and issued me a credit. Juneau Tours was terrific! I would recommend booking with them directly if you want a terrific whale watching experience in Juneau. Small boat, about 20 people, saw many whales and sea lions at a cheaper price than Viator and Charter Juneau. They pick up and drop off at the cruise ship pier. The company had to cancel our tour due to engine problems. They contacted us early in the day. Being last minute our family had to split up to be able to get on tours.
Extremely disappointing Our whale-watching tour was canceled at the last minute, and we didn’t receive the notification until we had already arrived at the port. We understand cancellations can happen, but the extremely late communication from both the tour company and Viator was unacceptable. As cruise passengers with very limited time in port, we had planned our day around this excursion. The last-minute notice left us completely unprepared, with little opportunity to find an alternative, and really ruined what was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. Very disappointed with both the tour operator and Viator’s handling of this.
Our whale tour was canceled due to problems with the boat. Which would have been fine, but we didn't receive the cancelation notice & didn't find out it had been canceled until I called them because we couldn't find the tour bus. We received a full refund, so that's good.
If we could give this tour zero stars, we would. Unfortunately, the shuttle never showed up to our pickup location. We booked and paid in full on May 17 for our July 1 tour, so this reservation had been made well over a month in advance. We arrived at the meeting point 30 minutes before our scheduled pickup time. By 8:30 a.m., the scheduled departure time, there was still no shuttle. We repeatedly tried calling the host, but every call went straight to voicemail. We then contacted Viator, and even their representative was unable to reach the host. There was absolutely no communication before our scheduled tour about a cancellation or delay. We understand that unexpected situations can happen, but the complete lack of communication was unacceptable. We planned this excursion for over a month and were left waiting with no explanation. This was an incredibly disappointing experience.
They did not call or text to tell me my excursion was canceled. I called them and then they returned the call after I couldn't find the transportation. Also I didn't get an email. All of this resulted in me paying a higher price. I could have booked through the ship and came out cheaper.
Hi Venessa, We sent out a message ahead of time. We did speak to you on the phone when you called. I thought when we spoke everything had been cleared up. You received a full refund for your trip. We had engine failure and we reached out to everyone ahead of time. The third party platform you booked with withholds your information from us so we only have access to speak with you through a portal. We only have the phone numbers of the guests who book directly with us. We offered to help get you re-booked. I'm really sorry that you feel we deserve a 1 star for this. We are a small family run business and we did everything in our power to cater to all of our guests who were affected.
Aliyah and Libby went out of their way to make sure our trip was enjoyable. We were their last trip of the 2025 season and saw a LOT of whales, seals, sea lions, false orcas. We would HIGHLY recommend this organization for whale watching!
The crew was outstanding. The boat was very clean and well maintained. We saw all types of wildlife on this excursion. Not only allot of whales but also seal lions and porpoises. A great day
