Pickup Locations & Times
The times listed on our tours are the pickup and drop-off times. To ensure guests can arrive on time for their tour we require a 45 minute window between a ship's arrival time and a tour's pickup time. Likewise, we require 45 minutes between the drop-off time and the ship's departure to make sure guests will be back before their all-aboard time. If you are arriving on a ship or staying at a hotel in downtown Juneau, you will meet outside, under the cables of the Goldbelt Mt. Roberts Tram (490 S Franklin St) at your pick-up time. Find a Coastal Representative dressed in bright orange holding a yellow sign that reads 'Coastal Helicopters' to be checked in. If you are staying at a hotel near the airport, you will be met by a Coastal Representative outside the main doors of the lobby. For guests who dock at AJ dock, you can call to request pickup at your dock - this will be scheduled automatically for the first tour after a ship's arrival. We will be contacting you regarding your pick-up details.

Flying a helicopter onto a glacier that has 280 big, happy, noisy dogs will surely be one of the most memorable things I ever do. Luke our helicopter pilot was kind, reassuring, informative and naturally very competent. Our musher Tenley Feinberg was an absolute joy. Her passion for her dogs and knowledge of each one's personality warms the heart. Witnessing her interact with them as they worked was fascinating. The entire team on this tour is highly professional and clearly dedicated to providing an unforgettable day. It's a dog lovers dream.
Great helicopter ride to see Glacier, very smooth ride. Enjoy dogsled ride and walking in glacier! Highly recommend
We booked the Juneau Helicopter, Dog Sledding, and Glacier Landing Adventure for our family of five. Unfortunately, my oldest daughter fractured her tibial plateau just one week before our cruise, and we weren't sure if we'd be able to participate. The team was wonderful to work with throughout the process, helping us navigate the changes and making things as smooth as possible. In the end, I was able to go with my youngest daughter, and we're so grateful we did. It was our first time ever flying in a helicopter, and the entire experience was unforgettable. We loved learning about the sled dogs, their training, and the important role they play. It was also fascinating to hear how the staff live and work on the glacier during the season. The highlight for me was at the end of the tour when our pilot, Tim, landed on the glacier. Seeing it up close was absolutely incredible. Tim did an excellent job sharing his knowledge, answering questions, and even helping us capture some great photos. He made the experience even more memorable. A few tips for future guests: dress warmly, even if it's comfortable in town. It was quite cold on the glacier. Also, the staff explained that roughly 40% of tours are canceled due to weather. That's completely beyond their control, but it's helpful to know ahead of time so you can set expectations and be flexible. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful. We felt incredibly fortunate to have had this experience, and it was truly one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Highly recommend!
Great experience. Smooth, safe and fun! Would highly recommend. I appreciate the company prioritize safety.
One of the best experiences ever. The dog sledding was amazing and the glacier experience was unforgettable, absolutely perfect.
You will be given special boots to walk in the snow. If unsteady walking In the snow was difficult. We loved the experience, those pups are well trained and loved by the staff. Its an experience you font want to miss! The helicopter ride was so fun, landing on the glacier was so interesting it's a sheet of ice and the blue colors are breathtaking! Don't miss this!
While we were very disappointed that the dog sledding was cancelled due to weather (this is more common than not), they did manage to fly us to the glacier for a walk with a refund for 1/2 the cost. Experiencing the glacier was still worth the adventure and I recommend moving forward with that option if this happens to you! My husband and son drank water directly from the glacier and we enjoyed walking around up there. We do wish the time to walk around or the helicopter ride was a little longer since the dog sled portion was cancelled.
Amazing surreal experience dog sledding on a glacier. 100% recommend. Should be on everyone's bucket list.
A once in a lifetime experience not to be missed! Wonderful crew, fantastic views and the chance to dogsled on the glacier was special
WOW! You get a Helicopter tour to a dog sled camp. The flight/scenery was beautiful. Once at camp the staff was so friendly and nice. You got to meet (and pet) the dog sled team, go for a ride. Team was so knowledgeable and seemed happy to be there! Then on the way back another helicopter ride stop top of a glacier, got to see a beautiful mini glacier lake, walk around, then ride the copter back to town. So much fun. They provided anti slip boots to which was nice, we didnt think to pack that! Thank you guys!!
