Nice trip through the history of Irish Rock’n’Roll! The Location is great and our guide Sterling told us many interesting stories about the musicians of this music. There were many samples to see, as guitars, pictures, records, personal stuff.
Great place to visit for music and history lovers.
This was such a cool experience hearing and seeing so many things about Ireland’s biggest rockstars. Our guide Sterling was very knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun
Amazing tour, thanks so much!
The tour was great! Sterling was very informative and we learned a lot. This was a highlight!
The Tour was really great. Our guide Sterling, a Drummer from Vancouver, Canada had lots of knowledge and fascinating facts about all the artists, represented in the exhibition. For me, as U2 Fan since my early youth, of course the dedicated room was a real highlight. But also I learned a lot about Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott, who wasn´t yet on my personal playlist this much. I absolutely recommend the visit for everyone, who is interested in music an Rock'n'Roll. Part of the Tour was a little Jam Session, where also my son got the opportunity to play drums. Cool stuff.
Hi there Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're happy to hear you had such a wonderful experience on tour with Sterling. We're always hoping that visitors leave with some new artists or songs for their personal playlist. We may even convert you into a die hard Thin Lizzy fan. If you took any photos or videos of your visit we'd love for you to share them with us online. Kind regards The Management Irish Rock N Roll Museum Experience
Enjoyed the tour, my guide, Matthew was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and gave some great color and behind the scenes info on some of the major bands. I think the strength of the museum is their proximity to the artists they display there which brings more life to their story of how they got started, how the band name came about, who inspired them, who they inspired, and where you can hear that in the music. The Thin Lizzy room, with a lot of Phil Lynott’s personal items gifted by his mother (including a report card, where he was particularly gifted at algebra), is a highlight. The one difficulty was finding the entrance to the tour. There are two buildings you’re taken through and Apple Maps points you to there second, rather than the first one where the tour begins. There’s signage at the second building to correct you, but some additional signage on the way to the first building would be helpful. Only delayed me by 2 or 3 minutes and I didn’t miss any of the tour but that was the only difficulty. Would recommend for fans of rock history or people who want to nerd out about gear and equipment of the artists.
Hi there Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted you had such a wonderful tour with Matthew. We will take on board your feedback about signage. It's something we've been trying to work on over the years but can become complicated with local planning regulations. If you took any photos or videos of your visit we'd love for you to share them with us online. Kind Regards The Management Irish Rock N Roll Museum Experience
Matthew was an amazing tour guide. Filled his tour with a lot of anecdotes about U2, Thin Lizzy and even Michael Jackson! You get to see so much history in the instruments, memorabilia, plus the storytelling to make it all connect, it was just perfect. 10/10!
