We took this tour late in the after after just arriving in Paris. It was supposed to hit all the highlights. I’ve been on a lot of walking tours and generally prefer those when the guide is a native of the City. Dawid was our guide not from Paris but has lived there for sometime and was knowledgeable. He made the tour interesting with funny stories but we were unable to finish our tour by the louvre because pont neuf was closed for a special installation of an exhibit. I thought the guide should have known this and taken us in a different route. Instead he talked about the places without us going there. He also walked by the oldest click in Paris without even a mention.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed his stories and insights throughout the tour. At the same time, we are sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Unfortunately, temporary closures, special events, exhibitions, and restrictions in public areas are beyond our control and can sometimes affect the planned route of the tour. Our guides always do their best to adapt to such situations and continue providing information about the landmarks and locations that become inaccessible during the tour. We hope that despite these unexpected circumstances, you were still able to enjoy your time in Paris and that we may have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour in the future. Kind regards, Walkative
I felt the guide could have been better, and that would have made the tour better. But still pretty interesting.
Best tour we took in Paris. Toto (Timothy) was passionate, informative, knowledgeable, charming, fun and funny. We learned a lot and the tour flew by. The Musee d'Orsay need to hire him immediately.
Toto was awesome! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I love how he introduced French history in a fun and engaging way
Tom was excellent! Tons of knowledge and good jokes. The fact that he’s a native English speaker and also fluent in French made the tour great.
We were a group of 6 friends in Paris. Some were there for the first time and some had been there several times. Francesca our amazing tourguide had so many stories and interesting facts about this city that everybody had a fantastic tour. And thanks to Francesca the tour did’nt feel too long, despite the freezing cold and the heavy winds.
Brilliant experience! Our tour guide was Francesca and she was amazing. Very enthusiastic and so informative! She really made the beginning of our first ever Paris trip special and gave us so many recommendations of food places, cafes and things to do. She made a massive effort to speak to everyone in the group and make it a really comfortable environment with the way she delivered the tour. Would highly recommend!
A road was closed due to a parade, we arrived 5 minutes late but they had already left without us. You would have thought knowing the number of people on the tour they would have waited. Called the number, they told us to go to Notre damn bridge to find them so we did. Called them back as we could not find them, then they told us to go back to the start and “someone” would come for us. We waited for an hour but no one came. What a waste of money. We were really looking forward to it as well.
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, due to the parade that day, it was a particularly difficult situation for both guests and guides to manage. Our guides are usually up to 10 minutes at the meeting point. We truly regret that communication didn’t go smoothly in this case. Best regards, Walkative! Team
Such an interesting tour we learnt so much. Tom our guide was full of fun interesting and entertaining facts about this lovely city. Would definitely recommend
Having just arrived in Paris the night before, this tour was just what we needed to gain an insight into Paris-its landmarks and fascinating history. Tom The Pom was brilliant! His knowledge of the area and the history is vast and his delivery wasn't too heavy with humour along the way. He drew the crowd (of about 12) together with references from our countries and made us all feel very welcome by answering our questions along the way. The two and a half hours flew by and we really recommend this Walkative tour about the history of Paris with Tom.
