The tour will begin in front of City Hall which is one of the pillars of the "Four Corners of Law" which also includes the Courthouse, the Post Office and St Michaels Church at the intersection of Meeting Street and Broad Street. From here you will explore many notable sites in the French Quarter and the residential area "South of Broad".
Stops on the tour will vary but you can generally expect to see notable sites in the French Quarter including the Dock Street Theatre, St Philips Church, The Slave Mart Museum, The Powder Magazine, the French Huguenot Church and the Pink House as well as many others. **Please note that stops on the tour may vary**
Rainbow Row
Learn the history behind the famous Rainbow Row, one of the most photographed sites in Charleston. Rainbow Row is located in the "South of Broad" neighborhood which we will explore and includes many historically significant homes including the antebellum mansions located along the famous "Battery". ***Please note that stops along the tour may vary.***
Battery & White Point Gardens

Great experience
We had Al as a guide. He was great! Very knowledgeable, helped us stay in the shade, and easy to hear in the group. He showed us both well known and little known, but interesting and historic places. He was super knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour and Al in particular!

Best Tour Ever
Al Mixson gave us a fantastic tour of some important parts of Charleston and I found that the areas we toured were of the most interest to me personally. Many of the other tourists in our group appeared to feel the same way. Al’s intimate knowledge of the city is unsurpassed and he managed to present the interesting information with some humor, which I always appreciate. This was the best guided tour I have ever taken, and I highly recommend Al’s 2-hour walking tour of Charleston to anyone who wants to learn more about the Holy City of Charleston!

Highly Recommended Walk Tour
Dennis did a fantastic job as our tour guide for Historic Walks of Charleston. We started right on time at 10 AM, and he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate about Charleston’s history. He took us to several interesting spots and shared so much fascinating information along the way. This tour made sightseeing around the city a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this!

Historical and entertaining tour
Mark was extremely knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Charleston from factual history. He made it entertaining by referencing how his grandfather used to tell him stories as a boy and would use this common 'thread' throughout the tour to humanize subjects. I would highly recommend.

A good experience
Dennis was our tour guide and I thought he was very informative. He told you things that you would not know just in passing. There were 17 in our group, it was approximately 2 hours, and it was 30 dollars per person. It was a very good experience and we enjoyed it very much.

My friend and I took a tour on Friday, September 25 with Al as our tour guide. He honestly was the funniest and best tour guide I have ever had. He knew so much about Charleston and was so friendly and approachable. Everyone loved him and we all learned so much about Charleston. I would highly recommend this tour.… wear your comfortable shoes and enjoy!
