Excellent whisky, even better marketing — but a disappointing party
The tour itself was fantastic, and the guide was excellent. Unfortunately, The Hidden Still Summer Closing Party was boring and disappointing.
Despite the event being advertised as “Harvest No.5 First Tasting”, no tasting of the new release was proactively offered. Trying to find out where and how to sample it felt like a quest.
Overall: excellent whisky, even better marketing. For now, it feels more like a modern business than a distillery striving to become part of whisky history, as The English seems to be doing.

Distillery tour
We had a very enjoyable tour. The location is beautiful. The tour guide was very friendly with lots of interesting facts about the distillery and it's history. Well worth the money and time! And the spirits are fantastic!

A well paced, informative and interesting tour with a relaxed and pleasant tasting session to follow. I just wish I hadn’t been the designated driver!

Very interesting!
We had a great trip! The lady who did it (apologies, I can’t remember her name but it may have been Jo??) was brilliant! The way she described things made us know how much she loves her job! Very interesting! And tasting it also was brilliant! Between us, we bought a fair few bottles 😂😂

Best 60th Birthday surprise
Fantastic experience. Really friendly and informative staff and guide.
Brilliant ambience and a place We will return to to soak up the atmosphere.
My advice, book a tour or just visit for a coffee and refreshments.
