Our meeting point. Numbered 99-101 Westgate Street, all three built in 1509, they used to be a funeral directors, a merchants house & pharmacy. A wealth of history and ghosts.
On the 2nd walking route you’ll hear a little of the history of the cathedral.
To finish the 2nd route, we finish at this ruins.

An interesting experience, booked for hubby's birthday surprise. Lovely Beki, Ghosts Gloucester Girl, brought him a very spooky present! So unexpected and kind. But it wasn't just the evening... The ghost walk led us to share our spooky experiences with other family. Nice! 👻 And it certainly is revealing; thought provoking, with plenty that's historical ☠️
Information packed with an attentive, fun and knowledgeable guide. For those who can’t hear so well, advise using hearing aids or standing very close to the guide, who speaks very quickly. Easy walking. Considerable standing around at each interesting post.
Thanks for the review. Apologies that I spoke too fast, unfortunately due to a minor brain injury, I do at times find it hard to reign this in, thought I am aware of it, and try to slow my speech down, and make sure customers can understand me. Though I have, so far, had no complaints from those who have used hearing aids in the past. Again, apologies you did not thoroughly enjoy the tour.
Becki was lovely, helpful and happy to reschedule when things went wrong on our first attempt to get there! She shared so many stories about the city, and was thoroughly knowledgeable when it came to local history - and hauntings!! We were given plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and options on whether to stop for longer in certain spots (or miss bits out if we had wanted to). We are really keen to do another walk with her next month.
Would be more exciting if buildings could be accessed. Very interesting history which we all enjoyed.
Thank you for the review. Unfortunately as with most tours that are run in the evening, most, if not all, buildings are closed. It also heavily depends if I have children on the tour, as some of the buildings are pubs, are strict laws and policies prohibit children being in the pubs after a certain time.
A really interesting and informative experience with Becki. There was much about my home city of Gloucester that I as unaware of. Such a rich and fascinating history…..with some notable ghostly encounters to discuss.
I really enjoyed the tour and although I went on it for primarily for the ghosts, I came away being very impressed about the local history that Becki shared with us. Having lived in several areas of Gloucestershire for the last 30 years, I visited buildings on the tour that I didn't even know existed! I have already revisited some of the buildings that we went to and I now have both some local history and local ghost books to look at. My interest has been piqued! Becki was great as a guide, very personable, full of facts and keen to get to know her audience at the start of the tour. There were 8 people in our group. My only points of note were that my friends and I went on a very balmy and clear evening, I think there would be far more of a ghostly vibe when there is a winter chill/mist in the air. So I might do another one in November. Also our tour ended around 11pm, my feet were a little sore/tired by the end of it. But I can't complain as I learnt and saw so much in that time frame. Recommend!

It was a pleasure to ghost round Gloucester for a couple of hours with Becki. Her knowledge and passion are spookily impressive. Expect endless sights and frights on this dead good tour!
Great activity around Gloucester centre, had a very interesting walk, I'm not going to look at these locations with the same eyes! Haha our guide was really welcoming and very charismatic, we'll totally recommend. It is mainly outdoors so take appropriate clothing for the season, it can be cold in gloucester at night.
Really interesting tour of undiscovered areas of Gloucester. Loved the history snippets, they're really really interesting. I tried to learn to believe in ghosts but still sceptical, sorry
