Beyond the Sights of Kakadu

We had a wonderful day in Kakadu with Rob — beautiful, engaging and genuinely informative. What I particularly appreciated was the depth of his knowledge and the way he shared it: naturally, through conversation and close attention to the landscape, rather than simply delivering facts. It made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. As a photographer, I especially enjoyed our conversations about the region, its people and different ways of looking at and understanding this extraordinary place. It certainly left me curious to discover more beyond what can be experienced in a single day. The landscapes were extraordinary, and the whole day was very well organised. If I could suggest one addition, it would be a swimming stop somewhere along the route. I would also personally love an opportunity for a deeper Indigenous-led cultural experience, perhaps connected to contemporary everyday life, if something like this could be incorporated respectfully into the programme. Overall, a beautiful and meaningful experience. I would highly recommend Ethical Adventures and Rob to anyone who wants to discover Kakadu beyond simply seeing the main sights.

Not a single fault throughout the day.

An amazing day organised and led by Ethical Adventures NT...the day could not have gone more smoothly, from the pick-up long before sunrise to an impromptu stop to watch the sunset. Our leader/driver Adam was a passionate leader who was able to I'm most his knowledge of the aboriginals as well as the places we visited including a slow of rock art and the boat ride to see gorgeous scenery and the prehistoric crocodiles was to notch. I would also add that Tracey, co-owner of ET was very supportive with my dietary needs (as both breakfast and lunch as well as snacks were provided). I could not recommend them more. I was so pleased that Viator to uses ET as a provider.

Great tour with a great guide

Did a one day tour of northern Kakadu with this company. Our guide was Adam and he was very friendly and extremely knowledgable. We visited several rock art sites, an escarpment overlooking Arnhem land and also had a river cruise from Cahill’s crossing upriver to see the crocodiles. Not only was Adam very helpful on the day of our tour but he also offered lots of tips and advice for our next few days

Operator response

100% recommend this tour!

What an amazing day! Our guide Adam was professional, respectful and very knowledgeable. At no point did we feel rushed and stopped often (and even went back) to see different things/animals. Food was delicious and plenty of it, even catering for different allergies and food choices. The cultural cruise was enjoyable and informative and again, not rushed. We even got to step into Arnhem Land. Thank you Bobo. We saw plenty of wildlife and awesome rock paintings. While we only got to experience a very small part of Kakadu we had a fantastic day. 100% recommend!

Operator response

Thank you 290dar for joining us during your visit here. Kakadu is indeed a massive park with a huge variety of places and things to do and experience. We are glad you found the experience in the northern region of the park so engaging and our Guide Adam so agreeable. We look forward to showing you the rest sometime in the future. Warm Regards,

Amazing Day at Kakadu

I had a great day exploring Kakadu. Rob was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. The lunch and snacks provided were both healthy and delicious. I loved the small and relaxed tour group size and Rob was a natural at making everyone feel welcome and at ease. The highlights included vising amazing Aboriginal rock paintings and meeting local indigenous artists and guides. The boat trip to see crocodiles up close won't disappoint. I would recommend this must do tour to everyone visiting Darwin/Kakadu.

Operator response

Fantastic Day Trip!

It is a long day but amazing!! All inclusive trip with breakfast, lunch, drinks and afternoon tea and a final stop at the Bark Hut Pub. The lunch was simple but hearty and healthy and very delicious. Our guide Rob was informative, funny, and explained the Kakadu NP area and rock art history with lots of breaks to enjoy the scenery and take it all in. Small group of six which is nice as we didn’t feel rushed like bigger tours. We also had Robbie a local indigenous guide who explained his way of life passed on by his ancestors while cruising the river and to see the crocodiles up close in their natural habitat. Overall it was an amazing tour, a new perspective of life in the Territory and the scenery was breathtaking. Thank you

Kakadu day trip

Our host Steve was an absolute delight, the knowledge of this man in everything is mind blowing, he made our trip to kakadu memorable and knowledgeable. What made it great was firstly the group size, the meals and the experience of a great host in showing and informing us of this beautiful land. Would highly recommend the little bit extra and going with this company for any tour as it was well worth it!!
