Annual pass discount within the park
I have purchased an annual ticket for myself and 3 grandchildren for the past 4 years. For the first time today I was asked if I had an annual pass as I get a discount. This was after I had spent money throughout the park without receiving the discount I was unaware of and the same goes for the previous 4 years. Why are there no signs and why have I never been asked or made aware of this? Very disappointed. I paid out 300 dollars in the park on this visit, not impressed.
Prices are expensive enough without dreamworld not informing customers properly that they are entitled to a discount. Shame on the company.

A Great Time
We got the day pass at a good deal for 55 dollars a ticket and was able to do everything we needed to in a single day, which was great as last year we weren't able to do much. This time we did the week before school holidays, so we didn't have to wait in line much. The atmosphere was amazing, the park people were helpful and kind when we needed to ask questions and they answered to the best of their abilities, as I wear glasses to see, the staff were helpful in letting me know where I needed to sit as I can be a bit blind without them. It was a shame that there weren't that many larger rides in the back though they did look fun. I really want to try their shark one if possible next time, as it looked really cool, my 6-year-old was very disappointed she wasn't tall enough yet. My favourite part of the park was the Jane's restaurant and the decorations in the area. I kind of wish they could do something similar in the bigger ride area, as the rides seem to be sea themed. My 6-year-olds favourite area was the playground, though she wished for there to be a slide added. She loves the interactive areas the most, and we both enjoyed the movie experience.

Main rides failed all day
Terrible waits to main rides breaking down. 3 of main rides out of action on and off all day. Waist of money for a school holiday break as not easy to swap to another ride after 1:15 min wait to be told closed due to maintenance issue.
Operator response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that your visit during the school holidays did not meet your expectations.
We understand how disappointing it is to spend a significant amount of time waiting for an attraction, only for it to become unavailable due to a maintenance issue. While the safety of our guests is always our highest priority and attractions may occasionally need to close without notice if a technical issue is identified, we appreciate how frustrating this can be, particularly during a busy holiday period.
Your feedback has been shared with the relevant teams, as we are continually working to minimise downtime and improve the guest experience whenever operational interruptions occur.
We sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused and hope you'll consider visiting us again in the future so we have the opportunity to provide you with a much more enjoyable experience.

Big expectations. Bigger disappointment.
Unfortunately a very underwhelming experience for us.
We’re a couple (no kids) in our late 20s and went mostly to get an adrenaline kick from the rides.
We went mid-week, non school holidays and still waited ridiculously long for rides. 4.5hrs spent in the park and we got two rides! I’d say 3.5hrs of lining up in total. It just seemed ridiculously inefficient everywhere you looked. Rides down for maintenance, big drop not in service due to a mild breeze (at ground level) and only running 1 coaster per run.
Given we’re not the main target customer, however I’d not be recommending any friends on going.
I don’t usually write reviews, but the excitement was big leading up to it, and the disappointment was even bigger.
Operator response
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your visit didn't live up to the excitement you had leading up to it.
We understand how disappointing it would have been to spend the majority of your time waiting in queues and only experience two attractions, particularly when you were visiting primarily for our thrill rides. We also appreciate that unexpected ride closures and operational delays can significantly impact the overall experience.
The safety of our guests is always our highest priority, and while weather conditions such as wind may appear mild at ground level, attractions like Giant Drop are monitored using ride-specific weather systems and must operate within strict manufacturer safety parameters. Similarly, attractions may occasionally be unavailable or operate at reduced capacity to allow for essential maintenance, ensuring they remain safe and reliable for all guests.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide such honest feedback. Comments like yours are shared with our operations team as we continue working to improve ride availability, operational efficiency, and the overall guest experience.
We're sorry we didn't deliver the thrilling day you were hoping for and hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity to provide a much more enjoyable visit in the future.

Really Lost it's Soul
After 20 years I got to go to Dreamworld again. I was expecting to re-live all these amazing experiences. Have to say I was massively disappointed and it almost feels like they have sold out completely to upselling. All the old amazing rides like the Mine Ride, Log Ride, Steam Boat & Show no longer exist. The heart of dreamworld experiences & themed areas has been gutted. Now let's talk about the new stuff... The Goldcoaster was closed, the Taipan wasn't working when the park opened, eventually it opened I got 1 ride before it was broken. The Giant Drop was the same story, 1 ride and then shut. Literally the only other exciting Thrill ride was The Claw! On top of this there was one staff member at each ride and it took way too long to switch people to the next ride, making everything slow. I had a ride pass which meant I could skip the queue, what an absolute waste of money given how many rides were closed. I expected massive upgrades given it's been 20 years. I'll never go again. Dreamworld has lost all the joy and excitement for adults.

Fantastic experience. Grandkids loved it as did we. Went on a weekday and barely had any queues. We'll set out Park.

Extremely disappointing experience - All major rides broken and poor customer service
We had a very disappointing day at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast and honestly regret spending the money.
The first ride we wanted to try was Taipan. After waiting in line and finally sitting down in the seats, the ride broke down about five minutes later and we were told we couldn’t ride it after all. That was frustrating, but we tried to move on.
Next we went to King Claw, which also broke down. We were stuck sitting in the ride for about 15 minutes before they got us off. After that we discovered that The Tower was closed as well, even though this was not mentioned anywhere on the website before we arrived.
We went to the service desk to explain the situation, and the only thing they offered was express tickets for Taipan. This didn’t help at all since the ride was still closed, and many of the people who had come specifically to try the big rides had already gone home.
While waiting because we were told Taipan might reopen “soon,” we decided to try Tailspin. Unfortunately that ride also had engineering issues and was closed.
At that point multiple major rides were unavailable and the staff at reception were not willing to offer any real solution. We even suggested moving our tickets to another day, but they said that wasn’t possible.
In the end we left early after spending about $200 AUD for a very poor experience. Broken rides, lack of information, and unhelpful customer service made this a very disappointing visit. We would not recommend it.
