The company's basket is six meters long, leaving passengers plenty of room to take their own photos and enjoy the view. Go Ballooning operates Australia's only basket with doors. This means passengers no longer need to climb over the basket to enter. Guests will also receive a photo package at the end of their flight.

Our bus will pick guests up around 3:00am to 4:30am (depending on the time of year) at a given pick up location (these details are sent via SMS the night before their flight). Guests will be driven to the take off site. The in-air flight time is approximately 45-60 minutes. We fly over the Gold Coast city or the Gold Coast hinterland, depending on the wind pattern. Guests will be dropped back to the pick up location between 7:30am and 9am.

From the time you first make contact, to the incredible experience itself, then to a delicious breakfast and getting you back to your hotel. They look after you. Highly recommended. Very good, the tour guide was very enthusiastic, picked us up and dropped us off directly, the emotional value was maxed out, we successfully saw the sunrise, it was super beautiful, and there were so many small animals, the landing was very smooth, and we had milk tea and small cookies to eat, so thoughtful, and they were super enthusiastic in taking pictures for us to remember.
An excellent experience watching the sunrise over Mount Tambourine. The aeronaut was extremely experienced but also ebullient in his manner to highlight the history of ballooning, highlighting geographical points of note as well as keys to the arcane art of navigating and landing a balloon. I felt safe during the flight and enjoyed the serenity that comes from a dawn fli ch t in a balloon over a bucolic countryside. Thanks team at GO for a very memorable morning.

My first-ever hot air ballooning experience was with Go Ballooning in August 2026. What an amazing experience it was!! From booking the flight with the lovely Micaela (Operations Manager), the early morning drive with our great driver Gary to the launch site, to the flight with our awesome pilot Murray, this was a fabulous five-star experience from start to end! Michaela, Gary, Jeremy (from the ground crew) and Murray are a very professional and friendly team, and they made the whole experience so smooth, safe, easy and unforgettable. Due to windy weather conditions on the day, the launch site was from Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim, so we did not fly over GC city & coast. However, the magical flight over the serene hinterland landscape and the glorious sunrise completely made up for this (ballooning over the city & coast next time!!). Driving up to Canungra with the full moon illuminating the sky, a brief stop to enjoy a cup of delicious hot chai tea and arriving at the launch site to see the beautiful red balloon inflated and ready to fly, was exciting! Murray explained the safety protocols and put us at ease, so I felt very comfortable as the flight began. The lift-off and flight were so smooth and gentle, and it was magical and surreal to float above the lovely landscape and watch the beautiful sunrise. Murry has a great sense of humour and tons of energy, and he kept us laughing and entertained throughout the flight by playing cheerful music and cracking jokes while providing a hilarious commentary and flying the balloon perfectly. Everyone was busy taking photos and videos and it felt like a party in the sky. The landing was easy and gentle, and we got to step inside the deflating balloon and take photos from a different angle. This was a bucket list item for me and the team at Go Ballooning made it a perfect, wonderfully memorable experience along with providing an incredible digital photo and video package of the flight. I highly recommend the balloon flight with Go Ballooning and many thanks to Michaela, Murray, Gary, Jeremy and the entire team for creating this magical experience :-) :-)

Excellent friendly team, on time, pick up & drop off included. Bootie covers to keep shoes clean, keep you up to date with all info beforehand. Knowledgeable, experienced pilot with good sense of humour. Team will take pics if you want, wonderful experience and I'm afraid of heights! Little less so now ✨️👌
