Plan according to the weather. It was definitely hot walking through the area. You can see some from driving, but you miss a lot that way

Devil’s Den
We loved the experience but the audio was challenging. If you want to learn more about the Civil War battles this is for you. Seeing and experiencing this makes everything we learned in school come alive.

Just Right for a Self-Guided Tour
My husband and I got this tour because we wanted to explore Devil’s Den. We found it very informative!
It took us to some of the nearby monuments around the Den. Even took us off the beaten path for a different view of Little Round Top.
It took about 30 minutes, which was perfect for us.

Devil's Den at Your Own Pace!
Honestly, this self-guided tour was okay, but let's be honest, you're paying for an app that mainly just offers GPS-triggered audio, which was kinda cool for avoiding getting lost in the boulders. Still, the whole thing felt a bit gimmicky, like just another quick way to cash in on the history. If you're a history buff, you might find the info a little light, but if you want a quick, simple walk-through of Devil's Den, it does the job without needing a human guide. It’s definitely a bit pricey for what you get, but I guess the convenience comes at a cost!
Operator response
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my Gettysburg: Devil’s Den Walking Tour. I’m glad you appreciated the GPS-triggered audio, especially for navigating through the boulders. I understand that, as a history buff, you might have felt the information was a bit light. I want to point out that there is a "Learn More" section at each stop, providing additional details for those interested in a deeper understanding of the history. I’m always working to improve the content and make it more engaging for history enthusiasts. I’d love for you to try my Ultimate Gettysburg Battlefield Audio Tours, which include Ghosts of the Battlefield, Gettysburg Battlefield, Seminary Ridge, and the Gettysburg Battlefield tour—all in one bundle. Happy exploring!

Devils Den self paced - NOT A waste of $$$
This walking tour was great EXCEPT for the stops of 4 thru 6. These sections were a bit confusing as to which way and where to walk to. Had to replay about 3-4 times but we finally got. Other than this, we enjoyed it thoroughly. Very informitive. We really enjoyed this tour......especially being self paced.
Operator response

Worked well. Loved the experience of Devils Den
Getting a great overview of the site, and what soldiers from both armies went through. I thought the re wording was very good. I think the instructions for installing were a bit confusing though it all worked out.

Devil's Den!!!
I was completely engrossed in the rich historical significance of this remarkable site. The tour allows you to explore at your own pace, and the informative signs provide valuable insights. As someone who also took part in the Gettysburg self-guided auto tour, combining both experiences was an incredible way to immerse myself in the stories and sacrifices of the past. A truly unforgettable experience!
