Description
The impressive Rainbow Mountain awaits adventurers in the Vilcanota mountain range, at an altitude of 5036 meters. This full-day hike offers an exciting journey through vibrant landscapes, marked by unique mineral compositions, giving rise to stunning hues that captivate all visitors. The walk includes a guided experience that will allow you to understand the geological wonders and cultural significance of this sacred site. After the ascent, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before returning to Cusco, allowing you to enjoy a rewarding day of exploration and discovery.

Pass by
Your adventure starts very early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Your guide will accompany you all the way to the stunning Mountain of Colors, a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes that will allow you to see the sunrise over the Andean landscapes.

We will arrive at a restaurant in Cusipata, where a varied breakfast buffet awaits. You’ll have 35 minutes to enjoy fresh fruits, cereals, coffee and breads – ideal for pre-hike energy. Afterwards, we will continue the journey along a safe route to the starting point.

Once you got out of the car and started the 40-minute walk. We will arrive at the Mountain of Colors to the first point where we will be able to observe the base of the mountain, continuing after that we will climb to the second point that the highest we will reach at 5,036 m.a.s.l. from there we will be able to appreciate the Mountain of Colors complete and next to the surroundings seeing the majestic Snowy of Ausangate away the highest of Cusco, once enjoyed the place we will start our walk back to the cart to return to Cusipara for our lunch.

Start of the Walk and Preparation
At the Pitumarca bus terminal, you can prepare for the hike. Your guide will give you key instructions on how to ascend in the most comfortable way. The ascent will last about 40 minutes to the first viewpoint, where you can already appreciate the majesty of the mountain.
The Summit of Colors: Mountain of 7 Colors
When you reach the top, at 5,036 meters above sea level, you will be rewarded with a spectacular panoramic view of the Mountain of Colors. You’ll have time to take amazing photos and listen to your guide’s explanations, while admiring the beauty of the multicolored hills and majestic Ausangate snowfall in the background.
Pass by
Finally, we will embark on the journey back to Cusco. The tour culminates in the city, where we will drop you off near Plaza de Armas, Plaza Regocijo or Plaza San Francisco, depending on the traffic. You will return with unforgettable memories of one of Peru’s most iconic natural wonders.
Passengers need to communicate one day in advance to coordinate the pick-up point and time.

An incredible and beautiful adventure.
My experience was very beautiful and unique, the guide who accompanied me on this incredible adventure was Holger, a person with a lot of patience, who knew how to guide and help me to have an incredible experience at the 7 Colors Mountain. Taking home some incredible photos for the memory.

It was an all-around successful excursion. The food is particularly noteworthy. Both for breakfast and for lunch, there was a buffet with a great selection.

wonderful tour!
Such a wonderful day! I went alone, and was the only solo traveller in the group but was such a lovely atmosphere and made many friends! The food was also so yummy and we had plants if time to take all the photos we wanted and experience the amazing views
