Meet your qualified guide on the Marienplatz. The guide will provide a small briefing on how the tour will run.
Make a transfer from train to the bus, the bus follows the route the prisoners were forced to march. The train station itself is the original and a majority of prisoners would have arrived there before marching to the camp.
While visiting the Dachau Memorial Site you will learn why the camp opened and who were the first prisoners to arrive. You'll also hear about the camp's evolution, development and SS training facilities, as well as the registration, categorization and treatment of prisoners. See the Jourhaus, the entrance building and gateway into the camp, the roll call square Appellplatz, and Memorial Site Museum in the former maintenance building. Listen to your guide telling you about the barracks, prisoner life and daily routine, camp perimeter fence and guard towers, the International Memorial, Nandor Glid Sculpture, religious memorials and Barrack X, the two crematoriums, mass graves, and the gas chamber.
After the tour of the Dahchau Memorial Site the tour will return you to the start location on Marienplatz.

We had a very knowledgeable tour guide was able to discuss important items very well. Tour was well planned even with some rooting changes due to construction. Had time when we arrived for wc break and at end for a quick full lunch at a great cafe. Only minus was although guide was very knowledgeable, he could improve personality.
This was a great experience. Our guide was very informative and did an excellent job explaining the history in an accurate and respectful manner. My teenage daughters were even engaged throughout the tour and took a lot of interesting information away from the tour.
Sam our guide was brilliant and ensured he covered all the important information of the tour. Loved catching train & bus.
I recommend this company. Our guide was very professional and gave a lot of information. If you're in Munich you must visit. On our tour we had people from all over the world in all ages including teenagers.
Getting to see everything here first hand was very impactful. Our guide did a great job of providing insight and information in a way that everyone could understand. Also appreciated him trying to find shade for us
Tom was a great tour guide, very like the British comedian James Acaster — who is hilarious! He was extremely knowledgeable and respectful of the memorial. Some of the explanations were too US-centric for our group (Spaniards, Brits, Irish, Canadians, etc.), so most of us didn't get many of the nuanced references/names that were used in regular comparisons throughout, but overall an excellent day with a really friendly guide! :)
Had an excellent guide (Tom). Humbling, at times gut-wrenching, but an informative tour and explanation of what happened here. Highly recommended. Quite hot and a lot of walking but a not-to-miss experience.
Well organized. Friendly, clear and very many interesting facts told in clear story at the camp Dachau . Definitely recommended, the day flew by.
Well organized and structured. Excellent tour guide: Sam demonstrated his personal passion for ensuring the memory of countless victims being kept alive during the whole tour with deep respect and detailed knowledge about the site and its history.
Adam Martin was a fabulous guide. He was knowledgeable of history and was totally unbiased. He took time to explain things and show me the key sites in Dachau.
