We had a lovely experience spending the day with Paul. He was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and a very fun person to spend time with. We appreciated his insights into local life and culture. Paul was happy and obliging to let us tailor the day to our own pace and agenda. Highly recommend this tour.
It was the best choice we made to explore Kyoto
Amazing full day cycling beautiful Kyoto with the exceptional Jay. Both hugely informative but also very personal exploring not just the key highlight sites but also the back and quieter streets Definitely the highlight of our trip. And Jay was a huge part of that just wonderful.
As a family of five (with grown up kids) we have done quite some bike tours all over the world and we rate this one as probably the best ever! Quinn, our guide was the best, sharing his knowledge about surroundings, Japanese culture and religion. It was a very hot day in Kyoto, but he made it bearable by regular stops at air-conditioned places and adapting the tour with a visit to a yearly purification festival at a shrine were we could walk through water (to cool off!)
Beaftiful experience. The guide was very friendly and social. This is the best way to explore the city.
We did the full-day Kyoto bike tour, and it was one of the highlights of our month-long trip to Japan. The tour included a fun sushi train lunch and provided a fantastic way to experience Kyoto beyond the usual tourist spots. Our guide, Mayco, was exceptional. Her local knowledge, passion for Kyoto, and friendly personality really made the day special. She shared fascinating insights about the city's history, culture, and hidden gems, making every stop more meaningful. The tour was very well planned, allowing us to conveniently visit several temples while avoiding the larger crowds. Cycling through quiet residential streets, along the river, and through the beautiful Gion district gave us a unique perspective of the city that we would not have experienced on our own. The bikes were comfortable and well maintained, and the pace was relaxed and enjoyable. We particularly appreciated that the route focused on less touristy areas while still covering many of Kyoto's iconic sights. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto. It's the perfect way to explore the city, learn about its culture, and see parts of Kyoto that many visitors miss.
The tour was fantastic, and Juan was so nice! He told interesting stories and shared a lot of Japanese history.
Our cycling tour took us to temples, shrines, Geiko dorms, along rivers and through the back blocks of Kyoto. It was fascinating and educational. Big thanks to Juan, who knows the history and culture of Kyoto exceptionally well and he shared it generously. I highly recommend this tour.
First time in Kyoto it was amazing to be able to see the beautiful city while biking. Juan was knowledgeable and fun.
Great guide very insightful. Have learnt a lot about Kyoto and the places we visited. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Kyoto’s top sights in one day.
