A Custom Intro to the French Quarter and it’s Foods
Brian was a great guide. He is both an author and a lover of history, and we learned a lot about New Orleans and the French Quarter during our time with him. The Sidewalk Food Tours team gave us input into the foods and locations we would visit, and the process for a private tour was flexible on timing as well. It was just the kind of intro to the Quarter that we were seeking. There is one change I would make with a do-over… I would evaluate the food options for both French Quarter and Garden District before making a decision on which tour to book. There could be more variety of options in the Garden tour. While Gumbo and Jambalaya have some significant differences, they are also very similar, and combining them in two hours is kind of heavy on rice, chicken and andouille sausage.

Private tour!!
We did a private tour for 6. Not a huge price difference than a group tour but really worth the money.
Lisa was our guide, she was great! Great New Orleans historian. Food was good. Walk was easy. Highly recommend!

Incredible Tour and Guide
This was a great tour! The food was absolutely amazing. I will warn it was small portions but I read other reviews so I was prepared for it which is why my review is still high. Lisa was an absolutely incredible guide. She is extremely knowledgeable on the history of not just the restaurants, but the history of New Orleans as well. There wasn’t a question she didn’t know the answer to. Absolutely amazing experience.

Well worth the time and money - delicious!
Brian provided a great tour!
It was a nice balance of information, walking through the French Quarter, and delicious food. We thought it was going to be small samples but each of the five stops was an ample amount of food.
The tour and Brian’s wisdom set us up for a wonderful rest of our stay!

Great food and knowledgeable guide
I liked this tour because we actually sat in the restaurant to eat the samples. So many food tours are stand-up affairs. The food was great, especially the streets! Our tour guide Lisa had great stories about New Orleans history and the food we ate.
