Description
Spoiler Alert - If you're looking for the typical tourist trail, this isn't the tour for you. As an award-winning photographer and former New Yorker turned full-time Valencia resident — not your typical tour guide — I offer an experience that goes beyond the usual tour, blending creativity, insight, and discovery. At the first stop, you’ll experience a brief yet impactful introduction to the "Art of Observation" and you'll learn to see beyond the surface and capture the deeper beauty around you. I won’t reveal all the locations we’ll visit in advance because they aren’t the typical tourist spots you can find on a map. Instead, I’ll guide you to hidden alleys, unique street corners, and special viewpoints of Valencia that only locals know. Most importantly, we'll have a great time together in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere as we explore the lesser-known parts of my city. And not to worry if you don't have a camera, about half of the people use their mobile phone on my tour.

One highlight is a brief "Art of Observation" exercise during which I will teach you the basics of how to improve your observation skills which is absolutely essential for photography.

A really nice photography walk
Time flies by if you walk around with Max. He is a really nice person and knows the city of Valencia quite well. Depending on what you want to learn/shoot during the tour, he adapts the tour accordingly. We had a call prior to our tour to align on this. You will definately learn something new and benefit from his knowledge.

Max’s photography tour...
Max’s photography tour was great! He reached out ahead of time to learn more about what I was hoping to learn and what my experience level was, and the locations he selected were beautiful! Overall this tour was great, and I feel like I learned a ton about improving my travel photos. Max has also been accessible after the course for any follow up questions or questions about cameras, etc. It was a fun and different way to explore Valencia. I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about photography!

A Recent photography trip in Valencia
Max was an experienced photographer and wanted to improve the skill set of any person that went on his tour. Rather than take a lot of photos he concentrated on observation and different techniques to improve one's photography. He is very patient and allows time to impart his knowledge I thoroughly enjoyed both the trip and consequent conversations

A great learning experience
I really enjoyed Max's tour. He contacted me prior and asked me what I wanted to learn which was thoughtful. Then during the tour, he focused his efforts and conversation on helping me achieve my goal so I learned what I wanted to learn which was pretty cool. I recommend Max's tour when you are in Valencia!

Great photography workshop in Valencia
We did a really interesting photography workshop with Max; we learned some of the essentials of good photography, and did some assignments to practise, which was very useful. And we also had a great time: Max is a very nice chap, relaxed, and time flies by... and we went for a drink afterwards, so really a perfect morning. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour.
Excellent tour. Valencia is such a fantastic city. Max, gave us a great insight to the city, and we throughly enjoyed our time with him. We have recommended to our friends, who are planning to visit Valencia next year.
