My name is Hem Babu Ghimire. Recently, I worked as a guide with Unique Adventure Trek for an Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Trek. I was guiding three guests on this trip. From the beginning, I found Unique Adventure Trek very supportive and respectful to both guests and guides. The communication with the company was good, and whenever we needed help during the trek, they were always ready to support us. We started our journey from Lukla after flying from Kathmandu. After having lunch in Lukla, we started walking towards Phakding. Then we continued to Namche Bazaar, where we stayed for acclimatization. The guests were enjoying the trek, and the accommodation and porter service were also good. While going from Dingboche to Lobuche, one of our guests had some symptoms of altitude sickness. Since it was their first time trekking at high altitude, we took proper care of them and gave them enough time to rest and acclimatize. After they felt better, we continued our journey. We successfully reached Everest Base Camp. After that, we took a helicopter to Kalapatthar and then returned to Namche. From Namche, we started our Gokyo trek. We reached Gokyo successfully and then returned through Namche to Lukla. The whole trip took 14 days. For me, it was a very good experience to guide the guests and see them enjoying the mountains and the whole journey. I was also happy to help them complete their trek safely. Description
The Everest Base Camp trek is a classic trek to the base of the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest (8,848 meter). Apart from Mount Everest, you will also get to see Mt. Lhotse (8,516 meter), Mt. Makalu (8,463 meter), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 meter), Mt. Pumori (7,161 meter), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 meter) and many other Himalayan giants. Moreover, you will get to visit several Sherpa villages along the amazing Everest Base Camp trail. Thus, besides taking you to the foot of the world's highest mountain, this trek also gives you a great insight into the local Buddhist culture and lets you experience the famous Nepalese hospitality firsthand, including meeting with the famous Sherpa people.

Accommodating and experienced trekking company
I had a great experience with Khum. I booked directly with him as a friend recommended him. He worked with us as we changed our plan multiple times before landing in nepal. In Nepal he met us at the airport and took good care of us. We had some issues at the hotel which we informed him next day. He changed our hotel immediately. Similarly while we had initially planned to go to EBC via go Gokyo re, but after Namche we changed our plan. The guide immediately changed our route. We had to come down via helicopter since my wife got AMS. The guide helped get the medical rescue. Overall good experience. You will not get the feel of the typical large operator in terms of structured approach, but that’s the best part too. Khum is willing to change everything to make sure the client’s experience is worth the time and money spent. His guide Ramesh was experienced, knew local terrain and people, was chatty but not overtly chatty. Had a great experience

I had an incredible experience with Unique Adventure International during my Everest Base Camp trek. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated how seamlessly everything was organized, making my first trekking experience in Nepal entirely comfortable and stress-free. A special thanks to Mr. Khum for taking care of all the logistics so smoothly—from the airport pick-up and drop-off to the hotel arrangements and trekking gear rental. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the personal care and support during difficult situations. When I unexpectedly ran out of NPR cash, Mr. Khum helped me out without a second thought, which was a massive relief. Throughout the journey, Mr. Khum was constantly checking in on me to make sure I was safe and doing well. That personal attention gave me so much confidence on the trail. He also took the time to tell me about the historical places near my hotel that I could visit—hidden gems I absolutely would have regretted missing if I had left Nepal without seeing them. Communication was effortless, and the hospitality was unmatched. I highly recommend Unique Adventure International to anyone planning a trek in Nepal!
