James did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable. I hope his mother approves this review. I recommend this tour to anybody interested in the castle.
The guide "Davey" was very informative and friendly and made the tour very interesting and enjoyable, great day!
Fantastic tour complete with unique glimpses into history. Our guide, Will, was fabulously funny and informative. Don't bother visiting the castle (a must do) without booking a tour - as you will miss so much history and information. Will was a total highlight!
Will was one of the best guides I’ve ever had on an excursion. He not only knew all of his information, but he was so theatrical. It made it so much more enjoyable.
Great information on history of Edinburgh and the castle loved the tour. Davie was great and made the tour interesting and informative.
This was a fun and informative afternoon out. Callum was a gracious host and had a lot of information and history to share. I appreciated the time provided to just be allowed to stop and take in the views and experience the castle. Note the tour starts near Mary King’s close and not at the castle gate.
Highly recommend this tour! Our guide Davy was lovely and knowledgeable about the castle and was able to answer all questions. We especially liked how he told his stories to make them come alive. He also did his best to remember everyone’s names in the group and brought them into the experience. It really kept the engagement and excitement up throughout! Don’t miss this tour!
The guide was okay but not great. There were 28 people in our group which was too large and made hearing the guide difficult.
We had our tour today with Davy (a real life movie star!) and it was fantastic. Davy was kind, funny and beyond knowledgeable. We were part of a large group and somehow Davy remembered everyones names. Fully recommend the tour and learning the history of the castle
