eBike Rainforest Experience
Description
After a 9 mile narrated van ride to the north end of Douglas Island and a short training session, guests start e-biking. After riding along the shoreline on a paved dedicated bike lane taking in fresh ocean breezes and stunning views of the largest national forest in America. The tour takes you on a short walk down an old growth Forrest path to a secluded beach offering amazing photo opportunities.

Very professional but friendly. Great equipment and the guides were top notch both in safety and guidance as well knowledge of the area. This is for anyone.
Was one of the best tours we did .. wasn’t offered by cruise ship so we went with viator who we have used alot . And again they delivered - Kyler and Phoenix guiddd us and had so much info about local plants and history - my wife fell over ( while stopped) and scrapped her hand and the guys were on it with first aid ( bandaids) . Just a great experience - bikes were electric and in great shape -

EBiking through the Tongass National Forest area allows you fantastic views of Mendenhall Glacier and surrounding areas. The hike through the forest also is en educational experience of the plants and trees in the area. Our guides had a depth of knowledge of the area and made the experience very engaging and fun! Highly recommend! Don’t let the biking scare you, the equipment was in great condition and the effort can be what you want with the help of the e-bike.

Kyler and Mallory led us up a highway along a beautiful cove as we rode our e-bikes. At one of the stops, we took photos Mendenhall Glacier off in the distance. Stunning views as we bike to the end of the road and turned around. Next, we took a short walk on the Rainforest Trail where Kyler told us about the forest growth, mosses, trees, plants, etc. Very informative! We stopped at the end of the trail for a snack where we saw crows and gulls harassing a bald eagle on the shore. Mallory showed us anemones and a conch shell with a hermit crab occupying it. Then, we rode back to the van and the parking lot where we saw a couple of salmon trying to make their way upstream. A great tour with stunning views. Highly recommend!

My family of 4 had Phoenix as a guide. My sons (ages 12 and 14) loved the bikes and were hoping we would do some off-roading with them ;). We stayed on paved roads the whole time. Phoenix was super knowledgeable and asked us what kinds of things we were interested in learning about. We stopped often for photo ops and information about the area. We saw the glacier from a far. Then we did a short hike through the rainforest and learned all about the plants and animals of the area. We had a small group with only 2 other travellers, which was great. Phoenix drove us back to our ship’s dock since we had a short amount of time.

Wonderful experience. Our guides, Phoenix and Kyler, were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We ride e-bikes but our friends had never been on them and were made to feel very comfortable before setting off. I would recommend this tour.

Our originally planned tour in Juneau was cancelled so we found this eBike tour last minute. They were very accommodating. Guides were very friendly, mindful of safety, and the bikes were top notch equipment. The views along the road (yes, you ride along the shoulder on the road) were terrific and the walk through the rain forest was equally cool. Great point to see the Glacier and the bay! We had a blast and appreciate RJ, Phoenix and Kyler. Great guides!

Fun and informative. A ride to the end of the road, passing by sightseeing stops of the glacier. Stop in the middle for a light hike through the forest, with a ton of interesting facts. My 12 year old and teenagers loved the entire time. Shout out to Phoenix and Kyler, great guides

What a great experience. Khyler and Phoenix were the best guides. Lots of stories, tips ,jokes, and environmental info. I'm not a very good bike rider but I felt totally comfortable and safe with them. Highly recommend!

Super fun time....and I'm not even a very good bike rider! Skylar and Phoenix were the best guides ever....lots of stories, tips, and jokes along with tons of nature info. Just the right balance of riding and exploring. Highly recommend this tour.
