Edinburgh's first food tour in 2011 - Eat Walk is locally owned. We share the story of the city through food and drink and enjoy access to small locally owned restaurants, wine bars, breweries, distilleries and members only venues. We love what we do and our philosophy is to deliver happiness to you, our guests, the venues we work with and ourselves in the work that we do. Private tours can be customised to suit your interests. Our standard tour format includes a walking tour, visits to four restaurants with seated reservations to enjoy a full meal with paired drinks. The food we typically include is a mixture of traditional Scottish cuisine, family favourite comfort foods and the unexpected. Expect tutored drinks tastings. We specialise in revealing how much you already know. We'll ask you the right questions that unlock your hidden sommelier talents introducing you to small local producer whisky, cider, beer and soft drinks. Customise to include fine wine, whisky or gin.
Prices are per person when two book together; a solo traveller pays $606.
Larger groups pay less per person.
Out at sunset: the 4:00 PM departure is under way when the sun sets, around 4:51 PM in the coming weeks.

Ever wondered why the West End in British cities is wealthier than the East End? Discover the story and the hidden local gems of Edinburgh's West End - home to consulates, fine dining and stunning architecture.
Although newer than the Old Town, the New Town is over 200 years old. With buildings inspired by Athens, this was once a residential suburb and now home to the best shopping, eating and drinking in the city.
Dating back over a 1000 years, the stories are layered deep in Edinburgh within the walled city. We'll avoid the tourist spots and visit local gems hidden from view.

Tamara did a fabulous job with our tour… would highly recommend her.
Tom was a great guide for our food tour! The restaurant and food choices were excellent. I was nicely full by the end of the evening. The drink offerings were also very good and it was fun to learn about local specialties. Tom did a wonderful job sharing stories and history of Edinburgh and beyond to all of Scotland! It was also so nice to meet and learn about the other people on our tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I visited 4 local restaurants in Edinburgh with our guide , Isobel from Eat Walk Tours . We visited a whiskey club ( which we enjoyed even though neither of us drink whiskey !) where we were served haggis which was very tasty . We then visited 2 restaurants where we ate scotch eggs and the local Cullen skink respectively…also very good . The last restaurant had more of a modern vibe where we indulged in sticky toffee pud- and who doesn’t like sticky toffee ! Isobel is a lovely young lady who was able to provide us with a knowledgeable and entertaining background to Edinburgh’s history and local cuisine …thanks Isobel for a fab afternoon Andrea and Ken (Australia)
