James and Jamie were great. It was a fun thing to do in Charleston that wasn’t the full-blown, fairly expensive ghost tours. Lots of fun, and it was interesting to hear about all of the crimes that all happened very close to each other!

You’ll retrace the final movements of a man who ended up at the bottom of a well—an ax buried in his skull and a question that still cuts sharp: who put him there? You’ll stand where passion turned predatory, where a hurried shovel of dirt tried to bury the truth in a shallow grave. And you’ll reopen a midcentury murder so strange it sounds ripped from a game of Clue—until the documents prove it happened here, in this very city. At every stop, your guide lays out the facts like exhibits—what the record confirms, what it contradicts, and what it leaves chillingly unresolved. No invented shadows. No tidy endings. Just real names, real places, and consequences that still echo in the brickwork of the very houses where it happened.
This is a suspenseful, real-world investigation on foot—built from court transcripts, newspaper headlines, maps, and eyewitness accounts. Five thoroughly researched crimes. You don’t just listen—you track timelines, weigh motives, and follow the evidence step by step, like you’ve been handed the file and told to solve it.

Jamie was a great guide! Very knowledgeable and made the experience fun for the whole tour group. We received clear information on where and when to meet and the guide was very accommodating of everyone’s schedules. He made sure everyone was comfortable, even with the language used and the serious content discussed.
This tour was a lot of fun. Even though it’s a new tour it was well thought out and planned. Really interesting true crime stories from Charleston’s history and a nice walk through a beautiful Charleston neighborhood. Jamie was our tour guide and did a great job.
